The Bold and the Beautiful recap for November 16, 2023, details Liam’s visit to Hope’s little cabin, Brooke’s visit with Thomas, and Luna’s visit with Steffy and Finn.
Brooke Has Questions
When Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) lent Hope (Annika Noelle) some candles and saw her arranging her little log cabin for a guest, she realized what was really going on. Hope had Katie (Heather Tom) watching her kids so she could plan a romantic night with Thomas (Matthew Atkinson). Brooke wondered if Hope would like to also borrow some lingerie.
Brooke understood that Hope wanted to move on and also have some fun, but why did she have to do it with Thomas? Hope claimed it was because they had a bond and trusted one another. She also didn’t have to beg for his undivided attention.
Brooke reminded her that there was a time when Thomas’s attention was unwanted and obsessive, but Hope insisted Thomas was not like that anymore. Since he was due to arrive soon, Hope suggested that Brooke might want to leave.
Liam Has Even More Questions
After Brooke left, Hope heard a knock on the door and thought Thomas was early. She answered the door scantily clad to find a shocked Liam (Scott Clifton) standing there. He claimed he was there to drop off Beth’s sleeping bag. Of course, he had to ask Hope what she was wearing because she never dressed like that for him.
Hope explained that it was called lingerie, so Liam had to wonder — was Hope expecting Thomas? Hope didn’t want to answer him and tried to get him to leave, but he held the door open and demanded to talk about her planned evening.
Liam admitted he never asked how far she’d gone with Thomas because he never wanted to know. But, as Hope told him, now he knew.
When Hope went to put on a robe, Liam stayed in the living room and glared at the candles and wine. Hope just wanted him to go so she could unwind and enjoy her night with Thomas. At this point, Liam was about to lose his mind as he brought up all of Thomas’s past misdeeds.
As Hope insisted Thomas had changed, she also pointed out she had changed. She still couldn’t believe how many times she forgave Liam, only for him to not offer her an ounce of grace before quickly ending their marriage.
Thomas Has Answers
As for Thomas, he was surprised when Brooke walked into the design office and asked him to stay and chat before he left to see Hope. Brooke suggested that Thomas spend some time with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) after learning the truth about Eric (John McCook), but Thomas didn’t want to hear it.
He asked if he needed to apologize again but Brooke told him apologies do no good if you don’t change your behavior. Thomas rightly pointed out that he had changed his behavior and even Brooke acknowledged it months ago. He explained that Hope truly believed in him now.
Thomas respectfully told Brooke that he wouldn’t allow her emotions to affect him. He only wanted to be with Hope and that was that. Brooke couldn’t wait to theorize that Hope didn’t feel the same way and told Thomas that Hope didn’t love him. Thomas understood that Hope had been burned by love and he was willing to be patient.
Brooke still refused to accept anything Thomas said, telling him when Hope was herself again, the connection they both talked about would end.
Luna’s Family Dinner
Luna (Lisa Yamada) was a nervous wreck over the idea of having dinner with RJ (Joshua Hoffman) at Steffy and Finn’s place. RJ tried to calm her nerves, but being that this was also Finn’s (Tanner Novlan) family and how her Aunt Li (Naomi Matsuda) felt about her being in town made Luna even more nervous.
Steffy was still a wreck thinking about Eric. Finn suggested they cancel dinner but Steffy insisted that she wanted to meet Luna. She heard nothing but good things about her from Finn. When RJ and Luna arrived, they were both a bundle of nerves but Steffy made them feel at ease.
The subject of Eric came up, turning the mood somber, but RJ tried to lighten the mood by singing Luna’s praises and the recent fashion show. Steffy gave Luna her stamp of approval, easing the young woman’s mind.
