Wednesday’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful was all about family discussions. Douglas continued expressing his desire of Hope and Thomas to be together. Meanwhile, Li gave Finn advice on dealing with Sheila. Here’s a recap of the Sept. 20, 2023 episode.
Thomas And Douglas Share A Heartfelt Moment
At Forrester Creations, Thomas listens in on the end of Douglas and Hope’s conversation. Douglas again makes a plea for Hope to forgive Thomas so they can be a family. Hope hugs Douglas and smiles at Thomas. When Hope suggests they grab lunch, Douglas asks if Thomas can come along. Hope points out that Thomas has been standing there listening to them. Thomas tells Douglas he’s touched by his kind words and apologizes for his past behavior. Douglas says he asked Hope to forgive him, and he thinks Thomas will make Hope happy. Thomas tells Douglas they shouldn’t put too much pressure on Hope and let her make her own decision. Hope gets a text and has to leave, and Thomas promises he and Douglas will be fine.
Deacon Worries About Losing Finn
Sheila and Deacon are canoodling at his apartment. Deacon says this is wrong, but he can’t resist her. He worries that their relationship is exposed, he’ll lose his daughter. Sheila understands Deacon’s perspective, she felt the same way about Finn. Deacon says their situations are different, and reminds Sheila she shot Finn and Steffy. Sheila claims it was an accident, and Deacon jokes her definition of accident has a different meaning. Sheila rants it’s Steffy’s fault because she tried to keep her from Finn. But things have changed. With Steffy away, Sheila has a chance at being in Finn’s life. Deacon and Sheila argue about Finn, but eventually calm down. Talk turns to Hope, and Deacon again frets about losing her. He mentions that Hope’s been going through a difficult time and he wants to be there for here. At that moment, Hope knocks on the door asking if Deacon is home. Deacon panics as Hope jiggles the doorknob.
Li Advises Finn To Get Rid Of Sheila
Li arrives at the cliff house to check on Finn, who says the place is a lot quieter. The conversation immediately focuses on Steffy, and Finn says he’s been in contact with her. When Li asks how does Steffy sound, Finn replies it’s hard to gauge her reaction with the kids on the line. Finn talks about it being difficult with Steffy gone, and Li reminds him that Sheila is responsible for Steffy leaving. She says as long as Sheila’s around Steffy won’t feel safe. Finn says he’s warned Sheila to stay away, but Li says that’s not enough. Li tells Finn he needs to do something to guarantee Steffy that Sheila won’t be a threat ever again. When Finn asks what Li suggests, she isn’t sure, but brings up how he saved Sheila’s life instead of letting her die. Finn says he had to save her, he’s a doctor and took an oath. The two continue to argue about Sheila and Li says Finn’s sacrificing his marriage for Sheila. Finn says that’s not true, he loves Steffy and will do anything for her. Li says he must do something about Sheila. An emotional Li says that Sheila may have given birth to him, but Li is his mother. Li recounts reading him bedtime stories, helping him through med school, and being there for every moment. Li says Finn brought this mess on himself with his hug, gratitude, and calling Sheila “mom.” She warns Finn he created an opening for Sheila and she’s not going away.
