This week’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for January 8-12, 2024, details Thomas telling the truth, Liam being Liam, and Luna faced with a choice.
Thomas Looks Toward A Future With Hope
We finally reached another day in LA and Hope (Annika Noelle) put on her necklace attached to a diamond ring. Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) didn’t seem to notice the necklace when they were in Eric’s (John McCook) office together, but Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) definitely spotted her fingering it.
When Hope and Thomas were alone together, they discussed their future, how she wasn’t ready for marriage just yet, and how they wished everyone would mind their business and leave their relationship alone. Thomas soon had to get back to work, so she invited him for some romance at her little shack later that night.
As Hope prepared for the evening, Liam (Scott Clifton) walked in unannounced as if he still lived there and did not seem shocked at all when Hope mentioned that Xander Avant (Adain Bradley) was back in town. He immediately assumed Xander was there to cause trouble for Thomas and Hope didn’t find it at all unusual that he jumped to that conclusion.
Liam and Hope had yet another argument in which Hope defended Thomas and their relationship while Liam chastised Hope for being with this man whom he wanted to take care of Hope and the kids when Liam thought he was going to prison in 2021.
After Liam left, Hope welcomed Thomas to her home but he had something important to tell her. When Hope heard the truth, she wasn’t quite sure what to think.
Finn Still Stuns Steffy
Steffy was surprised to hear that Xander had doubled down on his claim that Thomas killed Emma (Nia Sioux) in cold blood. It didn’t matter to Finn (Tanner Novlan) that Xander’s accusations were all based on theory. Even Xander pointed out that night that he wasn’t there. However, GPS data proved that Thomas was.
Steffy defended her brother some more, so Finn told her to point-blank ask Thomas what happened. Back at Forrester Creations, Steffy did just that. Determined to be an honest and changed man, Thomas told Steffy everything that happened that fateful night in 2019. Yes, he chased Emma, no he did not kill her, but yes, he left the scene and didn’t call for help after her crash.
Zende Shocks Luna
Luna (Lisa Yamada) was thrilled when she received an invitation to a romantic dinner in the FC salon. She assumed it was from RJ (Joshua Hoffman) and readied for her date by borrowing some FC designs. Dolled out in hot pink, Luna arrived for her date only to learn Zende (Delon De Metz) sent the invite.
Luna explained to Zende that she was flattered but she was also in love with RJ and Zende would have to accept that. After Zende planted a kiss on Luna’s cheek, it was clear that he wasn’t going to give up.
When RJ learned what Zende had done, he was absolutely furious and let Zende know it, placing the two cousins in a bigger war than ever before.
