She’s only a few days (well, a few airshows) into the job, and Christy St. John is already making quite the splash on Days of our Lives. And though this is the actress’s first foray into soap opera, she’s not taking it for granted.
Welcome To Salem, Christy St. John
It was a few weeks ago that St. John took to Instagram to post a shot of her in costume on the Horton Town Square set and a video of her long in coming debut (don’t forget that DAYS is filmed upwards of seven months in advance). All in all, it was a blink-and-you-miss-it affair. Her Officer Goldman briefly stepped into the frame and bid her bosses at the SPD “Good luck” with the perp she just collared.
Alongside the picture and clip, St. John wrote, “One of my episodes of Days of Our Lives is now live on @peacock, with more to follow! I’m filled with gratitude for being a small part of television history—this is the show of JOEY TRIBBIANI, after all.
“Before working on a soap, I never fully appreciated the effort it takes to make one. Many thanks to @boblambert5 & @bostongrl23 for casting me and to everyone at @dayspeacock for warmly welcoming me into this cast of highly talented (not to mention GORGEOUS 👀) actors who effortlessly handle 100+ pages of dialogue a day with ease. Exciting times ahead for Officer Goldman!”

Indeed there were exciting times ahead for St. John’s alter-ego. Only yesterday (Tuesday, February 6) the character shot and killed a (supposedly) combative suspect…a suspect that had direct ties to southern-fried drug baron Clyde Weston (James Read). Coincidence? Some fans think not.
For example, amongst the plethora of congratulatory messages sent to St. John in the wake of her social media engagement, was one penned by Renee Bastin. It reads, “I think you may be the mole on Salem PD. Hopefully, we’ll find out soon.” Now wouldn’t that certainly up the drama factor?
What say YOU? Do you get the sense that something is amiss with Officer Goldman? Could she be Clyde’s (wo)man on the inside? Head to the comments section below and let us know!
