Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for December 26, 2023, details another day of Christmas drama in Salem.
Kiriakis Christmas Drama
The Kiriakis celebration began with Justin’s (Wally Kurth) solo arrival. Bonnie (Judi Evans) was in Chicago with her daughter and granddaughter while Justin was going to spend the holiday with his family. Xander (Paul Telfer) was the next to arrive with Victoria, thrilling Sarah (Linsey Godfrey)because her baby was back.
When Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Theresa (Emily O’Brien) showed up, Alex shared an awkward moment with Justin (Wally Kurth) before Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) gave a speech, welcoming everyone to the home she shared with Victor the first year he wasn’t with them.
Brady (Eric Martsolf) soon arrived, sad that Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) wouldn’t even allow him to see Rachel (Finley Rose Slater) on Christmas. Theresa was horrified by her behavior but glad that she and Brady didn’t use Tate (Jaime Martin Mann) as a bargaining chip like that.
As expected, Konstantin (John Kapelos) also made his presence known. He had a tablecloth from Maggie that he swore was from Greece. In fact, he was saying goodbye or heading back to Greece. But not for a few hours, so Maggie asked him to stay for dinner.
After toasting to Victor in Greek, Konstantin quietly told Theresa he wasn’t really leaving town, not knowing that Maggie seemed to suspect he wasn’t on the up and up. At least Alex and Xander’s constant bickering was a distraction.
Meanwhile, Theresa learned exactly what Konstantin was up to when he crushed his own foot to feign an injury. Sarah immediately tended to him and declared he had a severe sprain. However, that meant he couldn’t get on a plane that night. How convenient.
Lamenting Salem Men
Harris (Steve Burton) and Chad (Billy Flynn) ended up sitting with one another at The Brady Pub, spending their Christmas without any loved ones. Chad needed to get away for a while and left his kids with Doug (Bill Hayes) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), while Harris didn’t have anyone to spend the holiday with.
The two men discussed their sad love lives over a few drinks. Things got even more man pain pathetic when Everett (Blake Berris) arrived. That’s when Stephanie’s (Abigail Klein) name came up but Harris was careful not to mention that she was the drunk girl that he kissed, ruining his relationship with Ava (Tamara Braun).
Harris was mainly concerned with keeping Salem safe on Christmas, but at least there haven’t been many crimes so far.
Ava And Stefan’s Christmas Spat
Ava and Stefan (Brandon Barash) waited outside in the back of the Bistro for a drug shipment where Stefan informed his partner that he asked EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) for help in taking down Clyde (James Read), but his brother refused. Ava was furious that Stefan brought someone else into their mess.
Ava finally admitted she broke up with Harris to make sure he didn’t get caught up in their mess, but Stefan admitted he could have come in handy so they’d know what the cops were up to.
Finally, their drug shipment arrived in flour sacks. Little did they know that Harris was tipped off that a drug delivery just went down. When he appeared behind them, they didn’t quite know what to say.
