Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for November 28, 2023, details Chad’s plan to oust Everett, Sarah and Xander’s Thanksgiving, and Steve’s return from Greece.
Chad’s Plot Seems To Work
Chad (Billy Flynn) insisted that Everett (Blake Berris) was making eyes at Stephanie during the entire Thanksgiving dinner. Stephanie (Abigail Klein) laughed off his accusation before Everett (Blake Berris) asked her to come to work with him that night. He needed her to help draft a response to the paper’s star columnist being charged with murder.
Chad was ready to sell Leo (Greg Rikaart) down the river but Everett insisted the situation wasn’t so black and white so the paper’s response couldn’t be. Stephanie tried to calm Chad down but she had a job to do for the paper and that was that.
When Everett and Stephanie got to the paper, he asked her to look for his laptop charger in his bag. She found it, but she also found a ring box with an engagement ring inside. He admitted it was meant for her and he had been carrying it around for a long time.
Chad later paid a visit to Xander (Paul Telfer) to tell him they were now business partners. Needless to say, Xander was shocked that Gwen (Emily O’Brien) would actually sell her share of The Spectator. Xander still didn’t want to fire Everett, so Chad offered him some quick cash to get it done. Xander was reluctant but finally did what Chad wanted.
Sarah Makes Xander Very Happy
Xander enjoyed a solo Thanksgiving dinner in his apartment. Things got better when Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) arrived with Victoria in tow — as well as a very important document, the baby’s birth certificate with Xander listed as her father.
Xander was clearly touched while Sarah was apologetic that it took their daughter being kidnapped for her to realize how much she wanted him to be a part of their lives. Sarah had even more good news. She was having Justin (Wally Kurth) draw up custody papers so they could co-parent.
Soon, Sarah blurted out that she was even open to the possibility of them one day reuniting. Xander had to admit there was still a spark between them but they didn’t let it go any further at that moment.
The Truth About Konstantin
Steve (Stephen Nichols) surprised Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) when he returned from Greece early with a lot of new information about Konstantin. Yes, Victor (John Aniston) loaned Konstantin (John Kapelos) money to start his restaurant but was not altruistic about it as Konstantin claimed. He wanted the money back and when Konstantin couldn’t deliver, a rift developed.
When Sarah reported for work, Steve and Kayla told her what they knew about her mother’s new friend. She admitted she also had her doubts about Konstantin but after he saved her baby, she thought differently. Steve was very suspicious of the kidnapping story and wondered if it was all a ruse.
Kayla tried to defend the older man but Steve saw no defense. Konstantin couldn’t stop lying and Steve got the feeling that he and Victor were mortal enemies and never true friends.
Tate (Jaime Martin Mann) apparently spent some of his holiday with Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Theresa (also Emily O’Brien) on off-screen DAYS. Alex had only good things to say about the teen as Theresa lamented how grown up he was. The subject then turned to Alex’s family and how he still thinks of Justin as his father and was calling him ‘Dad’ again.
Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) treated Konstantin to his first American Thanksgiving as he faked regret over kissing her. Maggie didn’t even care. He was a good man and had a lapse in judgment so it was no big deal. When Alex and Theresa arrived, Theresa got Konstatin alone for a bit and warned him to keep their connection a secret.
Too bad they weren’t discreet, as Alex walked in the room to hear Konstantin tell Theresa that she was only after Alex to get her hands on his inheritance.
