For months, General Hospital’s Willow Tait has been having a recurring nightmare in which her late ‘adoptive’ mother, Harmony, is warning her not to trust someone. But, when she says who the person is, all Willow can see is Harmony’s mouth moving with no words coming out.
Fans logically believe that Harmony is trying to warn Willow about her bio mom, Nina, but what if Harmony has someone else in mind?
Michael Is Keeping A Major Secret
As fans predicted, Willow would finally start feeling close to Nina just as her big secret started to come out — that Nina is the one who tipped off the SEC to the fact that Drew and Carly committed insider trading, resulting in a brief jail stint for Drew.
Michael now knows it was Nina who had Martin Grey make the call in an impulsive moment of anger after Carly told her that Willow didn’t want to know who her real mother was in case it was someone like Nina. That hurt and fury led to her making a mistake she tried to take back, but it was too late. Marty had already placed the call and Nina has done everything she can to keep her actions under wraps ever since.
Now, Michael knows the truth but rather than telling Willow, Carly, Drew, and Nina’s new husband, Sonny, he is holding the information over Nina’s head and emotionally blackmailing her. He will keep quiet if he can control if and when she sees Willow. With Willow wanting to get to know her mother better, he is also controlling Willow.
While Nina is keeping a secret from Willow out of fear that she will lose her daughter after finally finding her, Michael is keeping the secret to control both his wife and his stepmother/mother-in-law. Neither Michael nor Nina is right to hide the truth, but what Michael is doing with the truth is manipulative and cruel.
Michael Never Learns
It seems that Michael can’t even remember what started the insider trading mess, to begin with — one he was involved in but still came out looking clean in the end. He committed the crime along with Drew and Carly because he did indeed reveal inside information about a merger to his mother, but the government didn’t go after him because Marty only implicated Carly and Drew in his call.
Not realizing how easily all three of them got off after committing a crime while going behind Ned’s back to oust him from ELQ, Michael and Drew are back at it trying to pull off another merger behind Ned’s back. All Willow wants after nearly losing her life to cancer while pregnant (due to refusing treatment for months) is family peace, no more secrets, and no more lies.
Yes, Nina is keeping the SEC tip a secret, but so is Michael, while repeating the same actions that led to the original crime and attempting to control both Willow and Nina’s lives. So, Michael just might be the one who Harmony is warning Willow about after all. The person she thinks she can trust the most might be the person she can trust the least.
