Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for October 25, 2023, details Gabi and Stefan’s Halloween plot, Brady’s willing participation in it, ghosts in Horton Square, and Ava’s big news.
Gabi And Stefan Trick Rachel
Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) had a hard time finding Rachel (Finley Rose Slater) in the big ol’ DiMera mansion, something Gabi (Camila Banus) took note of. Gabi was also interested in the fact that EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) was taking Kristen to lunch, which had to mean that he was going after those DiMera shares.
Downstairs in the living room, Stefan (Brandon Barash) worked with Rachel during a game of 20 questions. Rachel just wanted to know if she would get a JoJo Siwa autographed photo as her prize. Her second choice was Taylor Swift tickets. Stefan told her she could get her hands on those tix if she tried hard enough but Rachel wasn’t buying it.
Stefan explained that Gabi would design a Halloween costume for Rachel so she could enter a contest to win Taylor Swift tix. Since Kristen wouldn’t allow Rachel to be a pirate wench, this would be perfect.
Brady Blindly Plays Along
Over at the Black place, Brady (Eric Martsolf) lamented Tate’s (Jaime Martin Mann) plight and behavior to Marlena (Deidre Hall), but she thought he was being too hard on his teenage son. Brady had to admit she was right. He was putting all the attention he would have been giving Rachel on Tate but was hopeful that would change soon.
He explained that Gabi and Stefan were going to help him out but he preferred not to know how. He knew their methods would be unsavory but he just wanted Rachel back and didn’t care how they got her or him. He also wanted to have some plausible deniability if they did something illegal.
Back at the DiMera mansion Gabi did Rachel’s costume makeup and made it look as if Rachel was bruised and beaten, as she was supposed to be a black-eyed pea. Kristen even made sure to take a snap of the look on her phone.
Stefan even told Brady what his assignment was. Pick a fight with Kristen and make it look real. He said he didn’t need to know any other details. When Kristen and Brady ran into one another in the square, they argued about Rachel being in a math class that was too difficult for her.
The scene went off the rails as planned, so Stefan was able to record Kristen saying that she would discipline Rachel any way that she saw fit. That’s when Gabi enacted the last part of her plan. She told Rachel that the Taylor Swift contest rules said parents had to help with costumes, so she took a video of Rachel saying her mommy gave her the black eye.
Harris Fears For Ava
When Harris (Steve Burton) and Jada (Elia Cantu) ran into Ava (Tamara Braun) and Gil (David S. Lee) in Horton Square, she explained that Gil was her new boss. He owned the bistro and she’d be its manager. Harris was thrilled that she found a restaurant job just as he wanted.
Gil was a little alarmed that Ava was friends with a cop and later told her to drop Harris, but she reminded him it would look suspicious if that suddenly happened. She also reminded him that Harris was a trained assassin. Meanwhile, Harris told Jada that he thought there was something off about Gil.
Leo And Dimitri Haunt Horton Square
Leo (Greg Rikaart) and Dimitri (Peter Porte) tried on their ghost costumes, but Leo wasn’t enjoying it. Dimitri then asked Leo if he wanted to be a fugitive. At this point, he could probably get away with no jail time, but Leo was all in. He was in love with Dimitri and they were in this together. He wasn’t even in it for the money.
So, the two ghosts snuck into Leo’s old Salem Inn room and managed to find an envelope of cash so they could finally leave Salem. Little did Leo and Dimitri know that Harris and Jada were headed there to see if they could find a clue to their whereabouts.
Harris noticed the room had been broken into and wondered if those two ghosts they saw were up to something. Soon, Brady and Kristen were surprised when they saw the cops chase the ghosts through the Square. When the cops caught up with the ghosts, it turned out they were the wrong ghosts.
