Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for December 11, 2023, details Leo’s quest to get EJ and Nicole to listen to the truth.
Leo Tries His Best
As soon as Nicole (Arianne Zucker) saw Leo (Greg Rikaart) at her door, she demanded to know how he’d have the nerve to show up at her house. Leo claimed he had news about Nicole’s baby, but she was skeptical. When EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) heard him at the door, he angrily told him to go away.
EJ slammed the door on Leo, but Leo wasn’t deterred. He got into the house through the tunnels and told EJ his baby was alive, only to be promptly decked for his efforts. Leo re-thought things after such treatment and left without convincing EJ of the truth.
Sloan’s Double Panic
Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) panicked as soon as Eric (Greg Vaughan) told her that Melinda’s (Tina Huang) attorney friend left a voicemail apologizing for the adoption falling through. As expected, she had a cover story right away, telling Eric that Jude wasn’t the original baby Melinda had for them.
This is a different baby, but she didn’t think it was necessary to bother Eric with the details as long as they had a baby, right? Eric fell for the whole thing hook, line, and sinker because of course, he did. He’s Eric.
After Eric took the baby for a walk in the park, Melinda arrived so she could hear Sloan freak out that someone was going to learn her secret. Melinda once again assured her that things would be fine. Sloan still worried about Dimitri (Peter Porte) not knowing that Leo was also a wild card. So, Melinda offered to get Dimitri sent to federal prison in another state.
Nicole also remained a wild card, especially when Eric ran into her in the park. Eric tried to avoid her but Nicole assured him she was beginning to accept that he didn’t somehow have her baby. She told him all about EJ wanting to try for another baby, but she couldn’t do it. She just lost her miracle baby and she couldn’t go through another pregnancy.
However, she did mention Leo’s visit and his insistence that her baby was alive. She didn’t believe him but he left Eric and Nicole quite curious. He also showed up at Sloan’s door for a little chat.
Lucas And Kate’s Busy Day
As soon as Lucas (Bryan R. Dattilo) saw that Dimitri was in Statesville, he confronted him for keeping Kate (Lauren Koslow) hostage while her loved ones believed she was dead. Dimitri claimed his mother was well taken care of, so no harm, no foul. He was even proud to admit that he turned his own self in and did it all for love.
Lucas taunted Dimitri some more, chastising him for what happened to Nicole’s baby. That caused Leo to attack Lucas, but Kate showed up in the visitors’ area to break things up.
Abe (James Reynolds) actually recognized Kate when she appeared at his front door, but only from pictures. They sat down to eat some Sweet Bits cookies and catch up. Abe told Kate all about his Thanksgiving dinner with Paulina (Jackee Harry) and how he felt she had his heart.
However, he still had no memory of her ever being in his life. Kate encouraged him to not give up hope. His memories were in there somewhere. When Kate opened the door to leave, Paulina was standing there. They shared a few close moments together, but nothing sparked Abe’s memories. At least Abe agreed to have Christmas dinner with his wife.
