The day Sprina fans have been dreading finally arrives next week when Nicholas Alexander Chavez exits General Hospital to take on a big primetime role.
Nicholas Alexander Chavez Is Off To Netflix
When news broke of Chavez being cast in Season 2 of the Netflix series Monster, titled Monsters: The Erik and Lyle Menendez Story, we expected him to exit the show for summer, but then Hollywood essentially went on strike as both SAG/AFTRA and the WGA took to the picket lines and most productions (except soaps) stopped.
GH fans got to have Spencer around throughout the summer and fall as he and Trina took their romance to the next level but now that romance will be coming to a close at least for a little while.
According to TV Line, Chavez’s last airdate is set for January 31 when Spencer and Trina find themselves in danger.
Tragedy For Sprina?
TV Line also reports that Chavez and Spencer will be off the canvas for a few months but Tabyana Ali will remain in the role of Trina. Since she and Spencer are now in Paris so she can study at the Sorbonne for a semester they think they can enjoy time away from the chaos of Port Charles, but their romantic moments together may not last long.
Esme Prince, the daughter of two serial killers and who is also obsessed with Spencer, is on the loose and bound to find them since she knows where they are headed. With Spencer off the canvas, will he be presumed dead? Does that mean Trina will return to Port Charles sooner rather than later to grieve?
