Tuesday’s General Hospital saw Jason (Steve Burton) learn of the untoward fate that befell ladylove Britt Westbourne, played by Daytime Emmy Award-winning powerhouse Kelly Thiebaud. In the immediate aftermath, fans of the actress and her onscreen alter-ego flooded her social media channels with posts that varied from calls for her to return to condolences over the apparent fact that Britt will not be resurrected, unlike Jason. I light of all the fan love,Thiebaud devised a response that she disseminated via X (formerly Twitter).
Kelly Thiebaud’s Message To GH Fans
“Hi everyone, I know I’ve been absent on here,” began the actress’ post. “So much is changing in my life. Maybe soon I’ll find a way to talk about it all but I want to thank you for your messages and love for Britt. It makes me both sad and happy to read them. Sending you all love & hugs!”

Thiebaud made her GH debut in September 2012. Her initial run came to an end in 2015, but she returned for guest stints of varying lengths until September 2020 when she signed a long-term contract. Britt seemingly met her end on New Year’s Day 2023, courtesy of hook-wielding Heather Webber (Alley Mills).
