Today’s General Hospital recap for November 22, 2023, details Anna’s desperation, Dante’s big discovery, Sonny’s offer, Curtis’s quest, and much more.
Valentin Is Furious, Anna Is Curious
Dante and Chase met with the coroner in the morgue to talk about a mystery man killed by a car. Oddly enough, the man had three legitimate pieces of ID on him from different countries. When Chase ran the man’s prints, we learned the dead body belonged to Jameson Forsythe.Â
At GH, Anna waited until Elizabeth was gone before sneaking into Charlotte’s room, scaring the life out of the girl. Anna just wanted to explain what happened, but Charlotte was clearly terrified of her. Anna told her that she shot her by accident, but Charlotte saw a gun pointed at her and was sure Anna shot her on purpose.
As Charlotte screamed for help, Liz and Valentin heard and put a stop to the visit. While Valentin comforted his daughter, Liz took Anna to task, but not as harshly as Valentin. When he asked what the heck she was doing, Anna answered that she was trying to undo the damage he and Victor had caused.
Anna wanted Charlotte to know the truth, but Valentin had some good points when he angrily told her that Charlotte thinks Anna tried to kill her intentionally and that can’t be explained away in five minutes to a traumatized 15-year-old. Anna was sure that Valentin blamed her for what happened, but he admitted he blamed himself before walking away.
Once alone, Anna got a call from Dante with the news about Forstyth. She left to identify the body, knowing her life was more of a mystery than ever now.
Curtis Gets The Help He Needs
Nina was thrilled to meet with Curtis at the Metro Court, but he had a big ask in his quest to learn who shot him. He wanted access to the room the shooter used to take aim at the pool. Nina was ready and willing to help and gave him the master key to the hotel, which would let him onto the pool deck and the room in question.
He also wanted access to the security footage from that night and Nina was happy to oblige. The talk soon turned to Nina’s life and how great things were going, so she admitted she was scared out of her mind everything would soon go wrong.
Marty and Laura sat down to chat about Cyrus. Marty didn’t believe their brother really found God and reformed himself, but Laura wasn’t so sure. Marty was positive that he must have paid someone off to release him from prison. However, Marty admitted that part of him wanted to believe Cyrus.
When Jordan showed up, Marty left so Laura listened to her deputy mayor’s big ask. She wanted some time off to help Curtis figure out who shot him. Laura was happy to give it to her.
Sonny’s Very Generous Offer
Sasha was surprised when Sonny stopped by for a visit. They made some small talk about Deception, and Sasha admitted that she was relieved the Deceptor was now selling well after all the money they lost when Tracy sued.
When Sasha brought up money, Sonny revealed his real reason for being there. He blamed himself for what happened with Gladys. He felt he never should have let her be Sasha’s guardian and felt horrible for not keeping an eye on her.
To make up for things, he wanted to reimburse her for everything Gladys had stolen. Sasha refused to accept the offer. She knew she was resilient, didn’t need the money, and was finally feeling happy and enjoying herself. She suggested that Sonny give the money to a mental health charity in Brando and Liam’s names and he agreed.
A Lawyer For Finn
Gregory popped into Alexis’ office to ask him to help Finn beat this malpractice lawsuit. Alexis was surprised to learn that Diane refused to take the case because she was representing the plaintiff. Alexis seemed apoplectic because she knew Diane never lost a case — unless she was going up against Alexis.
Alexis did her best to explain to Gregory that Finn’s case looked damning. He might have not been negligent but there was a good chance that a jury wouldn’t see it that way — especially with Diane on the case.
She also gently broke it to her friend that Finn is often not very personable and may come off as arrogant. Alexis finally decided to call Marty in to help. Since he represents Valentin, he knew how to defend people who came off as “indelicate.” After some prodding, Marty finally agreed to take the case.
