Today’s General Hospital recap for November 28, 2023, details Austin’s body being found, Drew coming up with a bad idea, and Laura and Alexis’s game of catch-up.
Yes, Austin Is Very Much Dead
Portia (Brook Kerr) and Liz (Rebecca Herbst) finally noticed that Austin (Roger Howarth) might be gone considering he didn’t show up for his morning shift. Eventually, Liz decided to check on him in person and realized he hadn’t been to his Port Charles apartment in days.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) caught up on their respective Thanksgivings but he was really there to see Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and discuss a “matter of concern.” When made herself scarce so she could take Scout to see Drew (Cameron Mathison), Sonny asked when Mason (Nathanyael Grey) would be transferred to Pentonville, but nobody seemed to be thinking about Austin just yet.
Sonny informed Dante that Cyrus (Jeff Kober) was the one who ordered Ava’s (Maura West) kidnapping and was therefore Austin and Mason’s big boss. He even told Dante all about Nanny Betty and the false information that sent Sonny to jail for a few days.
When Dante realized Austin was ready to give him Cyrus’ name, he called the doctor but instead got a Pautuck cop on the phone telling him that Austin was dead. Dante immediately asked Sonny if he arranged for Austin’s murder. Sonny insisted if he wanted someone dead, nobody would find the body. Later, Dante entered into an investigation with the Pautuck police.
Poor Scout Wants To Please Her Dad
Drew was excited to sit with Sam and Scout at the Metro Court where she interviewed him for a school project. After the interview, Drew surprised Sam and Scout when he told them he secured a spot for Scout at an exclusive private boarding school.
Neither Sam nor Scout looked thrilled with the idea, which shocked Drew. Why would this not be the best news? To please her dad whom she loves so much, Scout agreed to go but Sam wasn’t so sure. When they arrived home, Scout admitted she didn’t want to switch schools.
Molly And TJ Spar
Molly (Kristen Vaganos) informed TJ (Tajh Bellow) that they already had an appointment to find a new surrogate. However, he was not happy that she made this appointment without consulting him. Molly was excited but TJ was angry. She didn’t even ask if he was ready for another surrogate.
This was too soon for him. He was still getting over the loss of his child and wasn’t ready to jump into anything with another surrogate. After TJ walked away, Molly wasn’t quite sure what to say when Dr. Navarro asked if she and TJ were thinking of trying again. Later, Molly ignored what TJ wanted and went to meet a potential surrogate on her own.
Laura And Alexis Lunch
Laura (Genie Francis) and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) met up at the Port Charles Grille unaware that new employee Cyrus (Jeff Kober) was staring at them. Laura wanted to check in on Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) and her work ethic. Alexis had nothing but good things to say about Esme. Laura was relieved because she wanted the girl to stay gainfully employed when she moved into her new apartment.
However, both women were more concerned about Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) than they were about Esme. They wondered how he would handle not living with Ace anymore. They agreed he would eventually be fine, but neither one of them thought Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) would. Laura was pleased with Alexis’s tasteful coverage of the shooting.
Alexis admitted if the shooter had been anyone but Anna (Finola Hughes), she would have made sure to run an editorial about gun violence. If someone like Anna could accidentally shoot a child, there is no better argument against unfettered access to weapons in the U.S.
Cyrus tried working around them without the women spotting him but when he once again dropped a tray of glasses, he broke his cover. Neither woman said a word to him but wondered why the restaurant would hire someone like Cyrus.
