Today’s General Hospital recap for November 6, 2023, details the tragic and dramatic aftermath of Anna shooting Charlotte.
Anna Is Beside Herself
Jake (Hudson West) came barreling into Anna’s (Finola Hughes) apartment when he heard a gunshot, but she told him to stay back despite the fact that he was yelling Charlotte’s (Scarlett Fernandez) name as if she were there. Still, Anna was stunned when she went to examine the person she shot and realized it was a 15-year-old girl.
Anna had him call 911 while she held Jake’s jacket on Charlotte’s chest to stop the bleeding. Anna didn’t know quite what to say when Jake asked why she shot her. Anna had no answer as they tried to keep Charlotte alive. When Valentin (James Patrick Sutart) ran in and saw what happened, he couldn’t believe his eyes and rode with Charlotte to GH.
Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), who is off administrative leave, offered to take Jake home but he insisted on going to the hospital to see Charlotte. Dante agreed to take him but he had to talk with Anna first. She explained what happened and broke down hysterically as she told him she discharged her weapon on a child.
At GH, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) freaked out the second she saw Charlotte brought in and worried about Jake. As Austin (Roger Howarth) worked on Charlotte and ordered a transfusion, Dante arrived with Jake in tow, easing Liz’s mind. Soon, Charlotte was wheeled into surgery and all Valentin could do was ask Anna why she did it.
Jason’s Sons
Danny agonized over what happened and blamed himself. Sam (Kelly Monaco) tried to calm her son down but he felt he should have known something bad would happen. At this point, he wasn’t even aware that Charlotte had been shot.
When he said he should have stepped up and helped Charlotte, Sam told him that he reminded her of Jason. Jake also looked exactly like Jason at that moment with spiked blonde hair and a black t-shirt.
Carly’s (Illegal) Plan Worked
Carly (Laura Wright) was still in disbelief. Drew (Cameron Mathison) was really there in the flesh and they could kiss and embrace. Drew had no idea why he was released. He just knew that he was told Judge Kim decided to commute his sentence. At least Carly had answers. She had Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) blackmail a federal judge so all was right in her world again.
Drew was surprised to hear Carly’s tale but didn’t seem bothered that a crime had been committed so he’d be released from jail for committing a crime. The pair ended the night by sharing milkshakes because visiting his daughter could wait till the next day.
Esme Is Ready To Move
Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl), Laura (Genie Francis), and Ace (Joey Clay) sat down for a chat in the living room where Esme wondered why Laura was so nice to her. Laura was sweet as pie to Esme and Esme was grateful, but she was ready to move on and out. Esme truly wanted a place of her own.
When Laura wondered why, Esme explained that she had developed feelings for Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and she felt uncomfortable being in such close proximity to him. Laura wondered if Esme was also having a hard time with Spencer’s relationship with Trina (Tabyana Ali). She claimed she didn’t want to hurt Trina since she had been so nice to her and Ace.
Esme described herself as a girl without a past, but admitted there was something familiar about Spencer. She just worried that she was willing to latch on to anything familiar. Laura finally agreed that Esme should move out on her own.
