This week’s General Hospital recap for February 5 – February 9, 2024, featured hellos and goodbyes, forgiveness offered, alliances forged, and so much more.
Monday, February 5
Anna (Fiola Hughes) tried and failed to interest John (Adam J. Harrington) — the G-man formerly known as Jagger — in pooling resources. John placed Anna and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) under arrest for obstructing a federal investigation.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) filled Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) in on his near-miss down in Puerto Rico and expressed concern that the assassination attempt was an inside job.
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) bemoaned the role she played in keeping Esme tethered to Port Charles. Later, she tearfully composed Spencer’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) obituary.
After yet more prodding from Tracy (Jane Elliot), Martin (Michael E. Knight) broke things off with Lucy (Lynn Herring). Lucy turned to Scott (Kin Shriner) for comfort. The former lovers shared a passionate smooch.
At Laura’s (Genie Francis) urging, Nikolas (Adam Huss) surrendered to authorities.
Tuesday, February 6
Brick (Stephen A. Smith) floated the idea that Dex (Evan Hoffer) was the traitor in Sonny’s midst. Michael (Chad Duell) tasked Dex with uncovering who’s gunning for Sonny and reporting back to him.
Tracy admitted to Martin that she purposefully sabotaged his romance with Lucy. Martin came upon Lucy and Scott and realized that the two had been intimate.
Robert (Tristan Rogers) talked John into dropping the charges against Anna and Jordan. Anna made up her mind to accept the position of Police Commissioner so that she could continue investigating in an official capacity.
Wednesday, February 7
Spencer’s nearest and dearest (minus a few glaring omissions) gathered to bid him adieu. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Cameron (William Lipton) reminisced together. Heather (Alley Mills) visited Esme’s final resting place, blasted Kevin (Jon Lindstrom), and requested that Liz (Rebecca Herbst) keep a watchful eye on Ace.
Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) implored Michael not to remain estranged from Sonny…. Ava (Maura West) opened up Wyndemere to the mourners. Cyrus (Jeff Kober) put in an appearance that didn’t please the assemblage. Meanwhile, a despondent Trina (Tabyana Ali) bemoaned her current circumstances.
Thursday, February 8
Michael and Sonny achieved rapprochement. Willow questioned Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) need to revenge himself on Nina (Cynthia Watros) and declared that he wasn’t the man she once knew. Willow invited Michael to move back in.
Anna was installed as police commissioner and demanded John’s cooperation. After bringing Dante in on their talk, Anna decreed that Sonny should be made aware of the serious danger that he’s in. John readied to relay the news.
Finn (Michael Easton) and Chase (Joshua Swickard) debated what to do in regard to their ailing father. Gregory suggested he move in with Finn.
Brooky Lynn (Amanda Setton) rode to Carly’s (Laura Wright) rescue when a prominent ad buyer made waves about jumping ship.
Friday, February 9
John and Sonny argued about the past and present. John informed Sonny that he was indeed the target of the shooting that paralyzed Curtis (Donnell Turner). The two fail to come to any sort of alliance — uneasy or otherwise.
Brick’s suspicions of Dex seemed to pay off when he found an offshore account in his name. Josslyn worried that she was making Spencer’s death about herself. Drew encouraged her to grieve the way that felt best. Drew and Carly discussed Crimson business. Carly expressed concern about Nina striking out and ruining it all.
Willow told Michael she still wasn’t ready to completely forgive him for his actions. Meanwhile, Cody (Josh Kelly), Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), and Maxie (Kirsten Storms) spent an evening together. Cody arranged it so Spinelli and Maxie would have some alone time.
