The General Hospital recap November 29, 2023, details Dante’s investigation into Austin’s murder, Yuri’s rescue scheme with Gloria, Maxie’s credit card debt, and much more.
Ava’s In Big Trouble
The detective from Pautuck wanted to make sure that Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) didn’t have a conflict of interest in this case after what happened with Mason (Nathanyael Grey). Dante insisted everything was fine and invited Chase (Josh Swickard) to join the investigation. That’s when they learned a neighbor found the body when they saw his front door wide open.
Dante’s first stop in his investigation was GH to visit Mason. He informed the criminal that his cousin was murdered, which came as news to Mason. Oddly, he didn’t seem too upset to lose his cousin to murder. However, he was intrigued when Dante implied giving up information could help with Mason’s legal troubles. Mason didn’t waste any time naming Ava (Maura West) as a suspect.
Meanwhile, Ava arrived at the Metro Court to meet with Sonny (Maurice Benard) at his behest. That’s when he informed her that Austin (Roger Howarth) was dead. In fact, he was murdered. Ava seemed shocked but Sonny only wanted to know if she killed him. Of course, Ava insisted that she didn’t.
However, Sonny wasn’t so sure. He wanted to cover for her, but she needed to tell him the truth first. Ava claimed she had nothing to do with Austin’s death, but appreciated Sonny wanting to protect her. She admitted to seeing Austin at the gallery soon before he was killed, but she didn’t pull the trigger.
Yuri Saves The Day
Gloria (Ellen Travolta) tried to remain confident that Yuri (Cyrus Hobbi) would be able to fix her problems with the Russian Mafia back in Brooklyn. They were still threatening her dog, Ziti, and she needed to solve this situation fast. When Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) arrived, Lois (Rena Sofer) told her everything that happened back in Brooklyn, prompting BLQ to want to call Sonny.
Yuri stopped her before she got a chance to dial. Just then, Mr. Petrov from Brighton Beach arrived to hash out their conflict. It turned out Yuri knew Mr. Petrov because he used to give his nephew trombone lessons. Too bad Gloria refused to apologize when Yuri prompted her. She still didn’t feel she did anything wrong.
Brook Lynn then stepped in and informed Petrov that one of her clients needed a trombone player for her next tour. Maybe she could hire his nephew if Petrov let the whole thing go with her grandmother. He finally agreed as long as Gloria stopped playing Bingo on Nostrand Ave.
Maxie And Molly’s Problems
Felicia (Kristina Wagner) stopped by Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) place to find a very worried daughter who was in over her head financially. She was in a ton of credit card debt and didn’t know how to get out of it. She had to make minimum payments while the Deception lawsuit was going on and was now in too deep.
Felicia was willing to loan Maxie some money to get her credit card debt settled and she would just have to pay back her parents with no high interest.
She also explained that Deception was operating at a loss and it would be a long time before she was making good money again. Her kids were getting older and more expensive and she needed cash.
When Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) arrived at the PC Grille to retrieve her forgotten phone, she found Molly (Kristen Vaganos) meeting with the woman from the surrogate agency. When Molly was alone, Alexis joined her daughter to talk. Molly admitted that she’s started looking for a new surrogate, but she was doing it behind TJ’s (Tajh Bellow) back.
