This week’s General Hospital recap for the week of April 29th, featured hellos and goodbyes, illusions shattered, hirings, and so much more.
Monday, April 29
Kristina (Kate Mansi) learned from Dex (Evan Hofer) that Josslyn (Eden McCoy) was spot on in her accusations…. Drew (Cameron Mathison) tried to interest Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) in becoming a spokesperson for a new nonprofit that Aurora is handling the PR for.
Carly (Laura Wright) explained to John (Adam J. Harrington) that she accepted Jason’s (Steve Burton) gift of the Metro Court more for his sake than her own…. Anna (Finola Hughes) debriefed Jason with her suspicions that Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) is involved with Pikeman…. Valentin paid Brennan (Charles Mesure) a visit and updated him on Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) decline. The men decide to eliminate Jason and pin the blame on the rattled mob boss.
Ava (Maura West) bid Nikolas (Adam Huss) farewell after filling him in on recent goings on including embedding herself into Sonny’s “inner sanctum” and learning that his medication has been tampered with…. John put Jason on notice: get him the goods on Pikeman or he’ll have Carly up on RICO violations…. Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Drew met for some afternoon delight.
Tuesday, April 30
Maxie (Kirsten Storms) found herself in the position of having to defend Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) to Natalia (Eva LaRue)…. Drew and Nina managed to avoid being caught out by Willow…. Willow gave serious consideration to forgiving Nina…. Nina let slip to Maxie that she and Drew have had two intimate encounters.
Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) put Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) through her paces before officially hiring her as the new Quartermaine cook…. Sasha planted a smooch on Cody (Josh Kelly)…. Valentin wondered to Anna if they could resume their thwarted romance…. Dex told Jason that he saw Valentin meet with a liaison from Pikeman. What’s more, he has photographic evidence. Jason relayed the news to a bitterly disappointed Anna…. Dex was officially accepted into the police academy.
Wednesday, May 1
Natalia introduced herself to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and failed to make a positive impression…. TJ’s (Tajh Bellow) suggestion that Kristina distances herself from Sonny for the duration of her pregnancy rankled….. Maxie and Scott (Kin Shriner) worked to disabuse Lucy (Lynn Herring) of the notion that her appearance on Home & Heart was an “unqualified success.”
Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) grew concerned that Aiden (Enzo De Angelis, making his final appearance in the role) was being bullied at his school…. Curtis (Donnell Turner) gave serious consideration to Drew’s offer to head Aurora’s new health and wellness division. Despite Portia’s (Brook Kerr) myriad of concerns, he accepted.
Thursday, May 2
Lois (Rena Sofer) managed to secure herself the Deception spokesperson job….. Willow decided to quit her job at GH to work as the face of the New Tomorrow nonprofit…. Tracy (Jane Elliot) gave new Quartermaine hire Sasha a hard time before an illuminating convo with Gregory (Gregory Harrison) set her straight…. Cody made it abundantly clear that he was “Team Sasha” all the way.
Friday, May 3
Kristina delighted in sharing her experiences as an expectant mother with Alexis and Sam (Kelly Monaco). During a private confab with Alexis Kristina touched on the perceived tensions between Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and TJ. Alexis wondered whether or not Kristina was beginning to think of the baby as hers and not Molly’s.
Congressman McConkey confided to Nina and Drew that he has Stage IV Lung Cancer. With Nina’s ringing endorsement, Drew managed to interest McConkey in throwing his all behind a project to beautify a section of the Port Charles docks.
Dante bemoaned his divided loyalties…. Josslyn told Trina (Tabyana Ali) that she’s considering changing her major…. Carly informed Sonny that she’d no longer be bringing Donna around and unintentionally rumbled that something was amiss with Sonny’s medication. Sonny refused to entertain the notion; Ava breathed a sigh of relief.
