Today’s General Hospital recap for December 4, 2023, details Nina’s beef with Sonny, Ned’s beef with Michael, and romance for some old and new pairs.
Sonny Assures Nina, Carly Will Miss Drew
Nina (Cynthia Watros) was still smarting that Sonny (Maurice Benard) didn’t tell her everything that was going on with Cyrus (Jeff Kober) and Ava (Maura West) for months, but Sonny explained that he didn’t want her worrying. There would always be threats and she didn’t have to know all of them.
Sonny didn’t want Nina to know too much in case the feds came after her as they did with Carly (Laura Wright). He was still sure the SEC investigation had something to do with getting Carly to rat him out. She assured him that he shouldn’t compare her and Carly.
After all, Carly actually committed a crime here. She used privileged information to buy stock, which is illegal. Nina made it clear to Sonny that was why Carly and Drew (Cameron Mathison) ended up in trouble. When Sonny countered that Carly knew his business because she took it over when he was in Nixon Falls, Nina wondered if he was blaming her since she didn’t tell him who he was.
Sonny assured his new wife that wasn’t true and only brought up Carly as an example of the FBI going after his loved ones. In the end, Sonny told Nina that Cyrus was after him months ago, but he had it all under control.
Josslyn (Eden McCoy) arrived at Kelly’s to help Carly close the diner and learned that two years later, Luke’s (Tony Geary) affairs still weren’t in order and Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) would be overseas indefinitely. The subject then turned to Adam (Joshua Benard) and his troubles with the academic pressure his parents put on him.
Joss worried about Adam and thought whether he was taking meds to focus or not, he would have had a panic attack during their last test. She also felt bad that Adam was in the dorms for Thanksgiving and not with his family.
Soon, Drew appeared out of nowhere to take Carly to dinner before he flew off to Australia for business.
Big Quartermaine News
Ned (Wally Kurth) and Lois (Rena Sofer) enjoyed some catch-up time in the Quartermaine Solarium while he went over a deal that Drew and Michael (Chad Duell) made. He couldn’t figure out how this was a good deal until math genius Lois told him that his numbers were way off.
Ned lamented that Michael had no right to close this deal, even if Ned thought he was Eddie Maine at the time. Lois tried to make it clear to Ned that he wasn’t available and Michael needed to do what he had to do. Ned just wished he’d never handed the CEO position to Michael to begin with because he refused to let the power go.
Lois was disgusted with the way the Qs still fought with one another. She knew Edward would be proud, but Lois was just sad.
Over in the Q kitchen, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) was stunned when Chase (Josh Swickard) got down on one knee and proposed marriage. BLQ had him stand up right away and told him he didn’t have to do this just because her family kept mentioning the next step.
When Brook Lynn asked Chase to take marriage off the table for now, he told her it was too late before presenting her with a stunning ring. He had been carrying it around for weeks and planned to propose on Christmas, but Lois and Gloria (Ellen Travolta) sped up his timeline. When Chase proposed again, she finally said yes.
Big Changes For The Davis Girls
Kristina (Kate Mansi) took Molly (Kristen Vaganos) home and tried to be there as a support system, reiterating that she truly wanted to be her sister’s surrogate and egg donor. Kristina continued to tout herself as the perfect candidate and seemed to know the risks involved.
When TJ (Tajh Bellow) got home, Kristina left so Molly could tell her partner that she was ready to accept Kristina’s offer. TJ was a little hesitant when he heard the news, but eventually decided that they should accept Kristina’s very generous offer.
Kristina headed back to her apartment to meet with Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) and happily show the place off. She was proud she no longer took handouts from her parents and could afford to pay her rent on her own. All Blaze wanted to do was celebrate the fact that her new single was doing well on the dance charts.
As they toasted to her success, Kristina learned that Blaze’s real name was Allison Rogers Ramirez. She chose the name Blaze in high school during a successful open mic night that changed her life. When Blaze asked Kristina about her high school experience, Kristina told her all about her abusive relationship with Keifer.
Eventually, Kristina told Blaze all about her relationship with Parker (Ashley Jones). That prompted Blaze to make a move and kiss Kristina.
