Today’s General Hospital recap for November 20, 2023, details Spencer’s pleas, Joss’s scare, Finn’s sad plight, Drew not learning his lesson, and more.
Spencer Realizes The Error Of His Ways
Trina (Tabyana Ali) was stunned to find Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) camped outside her dorm room door. He had to do it because she didn’t return his calls or texts, but she pointed out that she didn’t want to talk to him and he needed to respect her wishes. He apologized for what he said to Trina about choosing between her and Ace but she didn’t want to hear it.
Trina felt the fact that Spencer couldn’t accept Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) and Ace moving out meant they were on a different page in their relationship. She was sick of sitting on the sidelines and didn’t want to be around Esme anymore, a person who tried to destroy her life.
Spencer claimed that was the old Esme and she didn’t remember what she did, but Trina remembered and was reminded of it every time she had to look at Esme. Spencer claimed Esme and Ace were a package deal, so Trina told him she was choosing herself and that meant no Spencer if he insisted on living with Esme.
After all was said and done, Spencer relented and told her Esme and Ace were going to move into their own place and it was best for everyone. Trina wanted to make sure he wasn’t just saying that to put her mind at ease. Spencer admitted he was trying to accept the move, but he knew he couldn’t accept losing Trina. He didn’t want her to come second to anyone.
Josslyn Just Wants To Help
A panicked Josslyn (Eden McCoy) brought Adam (Joshua Benard) into the ER when she found him feeling sick. She wanted him to see a doctor, but he insisted he couldn’t. They were missing a test and he was convinced he was going to fail the class.
Joss was relieved when Adam was cleared to go home — and overjoyed when Elizabeth told her bringing Adam in the way she did proves she will make a great doctor one day. Once alone, Adam admitted he took something to help him study. He took too much and it was no big deal.
Joss knew he was taking an amphetamine but he claimed he had a prescription for the drug. She suggested he switch majors if pre-med was too much pressure. He claimed being a doctor was his dream, but Joss wondered if it was his parents’ dream.
Alexis Delivers All The Bad News
Finn (Michael Easton) stopped by Alexis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn) office to discuss his malpractice case. He was desperate for a lawyer and needed some good recommendations. When he explained what was happening, Alexis was concerned because the lawsuit sounded bad.
Alexis advised Finn to stay away from GH lawyers because they needed to protect the hospital and would throw him under the bus. Finn could barely believe his friends would do that but Alexis warned him that this was business and not personal.
As for Liz (Rebecca Herbst), she attempted to get some info on the case out of Terry (Cassandra James), but her friend wouldn’t tell her anything. She wouldn’t allow any appearance of impropriety to hurt the hospital. Later, Finn was more alarmed than ever as Alexis tried to find him the right attorney. Finally, Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) agreed to take the case.
After Finn left, Kristina (Kate Mansi) showed up to gush about Blaze’s (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) recording session, but Alexis had bad news. Molly’s (Kristen Vaganos) surrogate lost the baby.
Michael And Drew Learned Nothing
Now that Drew (Cameron Mathison) is out of jail and Ned (Wally Kurth) is back to normal, Drew and Michael (Chad Duell) went right back to trashing Ned and figuring out a way to kick Ned out and merge with Aurora. Their plan to do this behind Ned’s back is out the window since he’s not Eddie anymore.
When Ned arrived, they tried to play nice and Ned felt compelled to tell them Nina (Cynthia Watros) was the one who turned Drew and Carly into the SEC. However, before he had a chance to tell them anything, he learned Michael was making an ELQ deal with an Aurora client. Ned was clearly annoyed and told Michael had no authority to make new deals without him.
Carly (Laura Wright) paid a visit to Nina at the Metro Court to discuss Nina’s offer to sell her back her share. Carly’s first question was why Nina would want to sell to her. Even if Nina was too busy, she could have hired a manager to take on some of her duties.
Carly was sure Nina made the offer to make peace with her and please Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Nina admitted that the sale would help with Willow, but was stunned when Carly kindly turned her down. She didn’t have the money to buy it back and wouldn’t accept a hand out from her son.
