Today’s General Hospital recap for December 6, 2023, details Esme’s big move, Laura’s utter shock, Josslyn’s disbelief, and more.
The End Of The Esme Era For Sprina
Curtis (Donnell Turner), Marshall (Robert Gossett), and Trina (Tabyana Ali) spent time in Rice Plaza picking out Christmas trees. Trina thought she picked out the perfect tree, but Marshall and Curtis declared that it was too small. She clearly didn’t want it to be difficult for Curtis to put up ornaments, but Curtis insisted on buying the tallest tree possible.
Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) was ready to get a ride share so she and Ace could make it to their new home, but Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) offered to drive them instead. Esme didn’t want to accept Spencer’s help for anything anymore so she turned him down.
After Esme went to check to see if she left anything, Spencer shared a tearful goodbye with Ace as Esme looked on.
Once Esme was gone, Trina stopped by. She knew it was a hard day for Spencer and wanted to be there for him. Spencer finally admitted that both Trina and Esme were right. The move would be better or Ace in the long run.
Laura’s Trust Is Shattered
Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) met up with Laura (Genie Francis) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) in Laura’s office. They wanted to know the details behind Austin’s (Roger Howarth) death, so he told them. They were surprised to hear that Austin owned the house where he was killed.
Laura was further shocked when Dante informed her that Austin and Mason were working for Cyrus (Jeff Kober) the whole time he was in Pentonville. Laura didn’t want to believe him because she wanted to trust that her brother had changed. When Dante finished his story, Laura vowed to put Cyrus behind bars for life if true.
Josslyn Fears For Adam
A frantic Adam (Joshua Benard) arrived in Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy) dorm room worried about a test grade. He was afraid even to look so he begged Josslyn to check together. Adam was thrilled with his 97% but when he told his dad, he also had to explain why it was a make-up test. He lied that he had to take Joss to the ER during the exam, rather than the other way around.
Josslyn questioned Adam about both his parents and his lies, which only served to panic Adam more as he insisted his parents wanted him to be a doctor whether he wanted to be one or not. Josslyn wanted him to start making decisions about his own life.
Adam felt bad for Josslyn after learning she got a 90% on the same exam. Josslyn didn’t really see a problem with her grade because, in a normal world, it was a good grade. When Adam returned to his room, he popped more pills so he could study.
Jake Has A New Mission
Jake (Hudson West) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) were also there for the same reasons. Jake could tell something was bothering Liz, so she told him that Finn (Michael Easton) was being sued for malpractice. All they could do was talk about how life was just so hard on Finn.
Thankfully, the Finn talk stopped and the Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) talk started. He wasn’t sure if they were still dating because they hadn’t seen one another much since the shooting. She also wasn’t texting him back, but he could never tell what Charlotte would do next. She’d never tell him what she was thinking.
Liz assured her son that Charlotte was recovering from a trauma, but she should be ok in the end. A frustrated Jake declared that he hated guns and wanted to get involved in a gun control group.
As for Finn, he arrived at Alexis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) office where he learned she would play opposing council while he went over testimony with Marty (Michael E. Knight). They warned him that Diane was going to go hard and this was a war more than it was a battle. Things didn’t go very well because his bad bedside manner, arrogant attitude, and testy temper got the best of him. Or the worst.
