Today’s General Hospital recap for October 30, 2023, finds Mason alive but not-so-well, Ava getting a big surprise, Blaze shocking Lucy, and more.
Austin’s Seriously Bad Day
At Charlie’s, Austin (Roger Howarth) drowned his sorrows in booze as he thought about the pillow he placed over Mason’s (Nathanyael Grey) face. TJ (Tajh Bellow) soon sat down next to him to discuss his cousin. Austin thanked TJ for stopping him from killing Mason earlier. TJ said he did it for Austin’s sake and not Mason’s.
TJ explained how he knew Mason. He was one of the people who held TJ hostage back in 2021 and TJ finally recognized his voice. Later, TJ paid a visit to Mason’s room to inform him that allowing Austin to kill him would have been letting him off way too easily. TJ was going to make sure Mason spent the rest of his life behind bars.
Ava Learns Nikolas Is Alive
Laura (Genie Francis) and Ava (Maura West) met up at the Jerome Gallery where Laura told Ava that they didn’t find Nikolas (Adam Huss), but they did find out he was alive and well living in Europe. They learned he was withdrawing money from his Swiss bank account. The banker even saw Nikolas in the bank recently.
Ava her to turn her back so her face didn’t reveal her shock. She told Laura she just needed to absorb the news. Since Ava has believed that Nikolas was dead since January, this was a lot to take in. After Laura left, Ava quickly called Austin and demanded his presence.
When Austin got there, he was grateful to see her and that she was fine after her kidnapping ordeal. She noticed he was drunk, but was about to make his day even worse when she told him she knew darn well that Nikolas was alive. Austin feigned shock but Ava wasn’t buying it. She asked him if he knew Nik was alive and in Switzerland. Austin lied and said he did not. Ava wanted to believe him but it was obvious that she didn’t.
All About Lois And Eddie Maine
Sonny (Maurice Benard) was shocked and thrilled to see old Brooklyn pal Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) at his money-laundering restaurant. They shared a tender reunion where they caught up on one another’s lives. When talk turned to Sonny’s recent elopement, Lois wondered how Carly (Laura Wright) took the news.
The pair soon discussed the Neddie/Eddie (Wally Kurth) situation. Sonny wanted an update but Lois was as confused as everyone else as to what was really going on in her ex-husband’s head. When their little visit ended, Lois assessed Sonny’s new demeanor. He seemed more centered and confident than before. He also enjoyed the Italian meal she whipped up in the kitchen.
At the Q mansion, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) invited Neddie to join her for her lunch meeting signing Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez). After he turned her down, Granny Tracy (Jane Elliot) popped into the room and told BLQ to stop hiding from her. Brook Lynn tried to walk out without talking to Tracy, but her grandmother assured her they would have to talk about her future at Deception sooner or later.
When Brook Lynn was gone, Neddie warned Tracy not to threaten and blackmail her granddaughter. He didn’t know why Tracy wouldn’t just take no for an answer if Brook Lynn didn’t want to run a cosmetics company. After Tracy and Neddie got to arguing, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) told Tracy to stop harassing her husband. This only made Tracy harass Olivia instead. She didn’t like the way Olivia was handling the Eddie Maine situation.
After they finally got some time alone together, Neddie thanked Olivia for allowing him to be himself. However, she admitted she was never going to stop missing Ned Quartermaine.
Blaze Turns Lucy Down
Kristina (Kate Mansi) was happy to see Blaze walk in. She arrived early for her meeting with Brook Lynn just to see Kristina. Blaze was annoyed by Lucy’s (Lynn Herring) constant texts but wasn’t sure what to say when Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) walked in. If she accepted Lucy’s original offer, she’d be taking Sasha’s job away.
Sasha was there with Sam (Kelly Monaco) and took the time to compliment Blaze on standing up to Linc earlier this year. Cody (Josh Kelly) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) soon joined them and it was a regular double date in which Sasha and Cody agreed to help Sam and Dante renovate their family room.
Meanwhile, Lucy sat with Marty (Michael E. Knight) on a brand-new PC restaurant set and insisted she wasn’t going to do what Tracy wanted because she felt Blaze was the perfect Face of Deception. Lucy was surprised when Blaze arrived to tell her she was turning the offer down. She told her to just stick with Sasha.
Elizabeth And Finn Hit The Sheets
Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Finn (Michael Easton) continued their Vermont cabin adventure by making dinner. They even made small talk and Finn learned that Cameron (William Lipton) was dating a new girl at school. After the pair checked in with their kids, they sat by the fire and discussed his OCD. While Elizabeth seemed shocked that he suffered from the disorder, she knew all about it a few years back.
Finn went on to praise Liz for being an amazing artist and healer. All of this led them to make love for the first time.
