Soap fans are used to comebacks (from the dead) — even where their favorite soaps are concerned. The Edge of Night, Search for Tomorrow, Passions, One Life to Live and All My Children all got the unceremonious boot from a network only to turn up alive and well on another. Might the same prove true for S.W.A.T., the Shemar Moore (ex-Malcolm Winters, The Young and the Restless) fronted action-packed drama? Maybe.
Shemar Moore On S.W.A.T.’s Status
Despite an announcement that it was to be chopped from CBS, S.W.A.T. managed to avoid the axe and snag a seventh, and supposedly finale, season. But ever since it’s premiere in February, viewers and actors alike have wondered if it is really, truly the end.
In a post shared on his Instagram, Moore relayed to a concerned watcher that that might very well be the case — and he would mourn the loss. “It’s up to CBS and SONY… not me.” However, hope abounds.
“Just remember numbers MATTER!!! And…nobody DIED!!! They can always come back!!! Doesn’t mean they will… but ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WITH NUMBERS!!!”
