Today’s The Young and the Restless recap for December 1, 2023, details another day of talking about hurting Tucker with nobody really succeeding.
Abby Gets Sneaky
At Society, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) persisted in her quest to get Devon (Bryton James) to at least talk to Tucker (Trevor St. John), but he wouldn’t budge. She thought if Tucker had Devon in his life, he’d stop taking his anger out on their companies and back off.
Devon admitted he just wasn’t ready to forgive Tucker and refused to fake it for business sake. Devon also knew that Tucker wouldn’t buy into an act, so he didn’t even believe Ashley’s plans would work. Ashley finally gave in and admitted she’d have to come up with another way to win Tucker’s trust.
After Ashley left, Abby (Melissa Ordway) told Devon she was on her mother’s side and thought they needed to fight Tucker in any way they could. Devon still didn’t want to play but Abby asked if he’d at least be receptive if Tucker made the first move and reached out to him.
Devon was surprised at how passionate Abby was about this. She told him she was willing to fight for her family’s company even if he wasn’t. Devon wanted to know what she was up to when Abby asked him to put her on the Chancellor-Winters board.
More Plans To Trick Tucker
Kyle (Michael Mealor) arrived home after his meeting with Tucker not realizing Tucker was onto his own game. He found Billy (Jason Thompson) and Jack (Peter Bergman) in the living room discussing business. When Jack left to take a call, Billy asked Kyle where he’d been, clearly suspicious of what his nephew was really up to.
Billy also took Kyle to task for taking the morning off his first day on the job. As the men sparred, Billy advised Kyle to rethink his priorities. Summer (Allison Lanier) interrupted the tense moment, so Billy decided to leave and continue the conversation later. Summer thought it was curious that Kyle was willing to accept the Jabot COO position.
He claimed to be happy with his new job and no longer jealous of Billy being in the co-CEO spot, but Summer didn’t buy it.
Fresh off his meeting with Kyle, Tucker paid a visit to Audra’s (Zuleyka Silber) room where they discussed Kyle’s cocky attitude. Tucker was sure that Kyle would be easy to manipulate because he was so anxious for Jack’s praise. What Tucker didn’t know was that Jack has no idea what Kyle is doing and Diane (Susan Walters) is behind his son’s plan.
After Tucker accused Audra of having feelings for Kyle, Audra once again denied it, but was shocked to hear that Tucker wanted Kyle tossed out of Jabot once they accomplished their goal. That caused Audra to accuse Tucker of still having feelings for Ashley as he plotted his revenge.
Tucker soon made his way to the GCAC bar where he ran into Ashley. She tried to be friendly, but he was still cold to her. Eventually, they sat down at the bar where Ashley still couldn’t believe that Tucker wouldn’t take any responsibility for their honeymoon fight.
Chance Makes A Decision
Sharon (Sharon Case) happily welcomed Chance (Conner Floyd) to Crimson Lights and was glad he was on the road to recovery. The pair sat down to discuss their lives, with Sharon excited about the re-launch of Cameron Kirsten’s old company. She just needed a name for her business.
Chance offered to help her brainstorm, but first, he had some news. He was going to quit law enforcement and find a new, less dangerous career. Sharon was relieved to hear this, stressing how worried his mother was after he was recently shot.
Sharon wanted to make sure Chance was sure of his decision and he was. He still needed to resign from the GC police force, but he still didn’t know if he would join Chancellor-Winters. As Sharon and Chance tried to share a sweet kiss, Summer and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) walked in to interrupt the moment.
She later admitted to Chelsea she had feelings for Chance, but wouldn’t pursue them because he was with Sharon.
