Today’s The Young and the Restless recap for November 3, 2023, has Ashley starting her games with Tucker, Kyle shocking his family, and Victor continuing his deceit.
Tucker Is A Broken Man
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) ran into a forlorn Tucker (Trevor St. John) at Society and learned that he’d started annulment proceedings. Ashley was surprised but still apologized her for her part in the end of their brief second marriage. She hoped they could still be friends but Tucker didn’t see that happening.
Tucker couldn’t trust Ashley anymore so she wanted to know what she had to do to re-earn it. Apparently, not much, so Ashley felt she shouldn’t even bother wasting her energy trying to convince him that she was sincere. He knew she was just trying to see if he was going after Jabot, so she goaded him to just admit that he was.
Tucker refused to take the bait so Ashley accused him of being vengeful. At this point, she wasn’t even sure if he ever loved her. That prompted an angry Tucker to accuse her of wrecking their relationship. When he didn’t answer her question about loving her, she thought she had her answer. She didn’t see Tucker crying in the sleep after he left.
Billy Has Kyle’s Number
Billy (Jason Thompson) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) came face-to-face in the Abbott living room where Billy wanted a word with his nephew. He was frustrated and angry that Kyle wanted his job but Billy wasn’t about to give up the Jabot co-CEO position. Billy felt he was doing a good job and deserved to be co-CEO more than Kyle. He was even John Abbott’s son when Kyle was just his grandson.
Kyle was also hurt that Jack (Peter Bergman) chose Summer (Allison Lanier) over him when he ousted Kyle from Marchetti. Billy pointed out that Marchetti was Summer’s company so Jack had to choose her over him. Billy also accused Kyle of not caring who he hurt as long as he got what he wanted. Kyle seemed to relent and told Billy he was right — he didn’t earn the CEO position. However, Billy didn’t buy any of it.
Kyle admitted that Billy was indeed doing a good job but he didn’t think it would last. Billy couldn’t understand why Kyle wouldn’t take the COO job that Jack offered, so Kyle explained it was a token position and he deserved more.
Then, Kyle had a weird about-face and agreed with everything that Billy said. He even apologized to Jack for his attitude but still refused the COO offer. Once alone with his brother, Billy wondered what was really going on. There was no way Kyle changed his mind that fast. Ashley interrupted them when she returned home and asked if they heard from Tucker.
The three went on to discuss Kyle’s change of attitude, leading Billy to figure out the obvious. Tucker managed to turn Kyle against them via Audra (Zuleyka Silver).
Nick Confides In Sally
Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sally (Courtney Hope) ran into one another at the GCAC and tried to make small talk about her new business, but there was definite tension in the air. When she asked how Victor (Eric Braeden) was, Nick was annoyed that Adam (Mark Grossman) had told her what was going on.
They took the conversation to her room where Nick asked her to keep the news about Victor quiet. He wished Adam had done the same and accused him of looking for sympathy when he spilled all to Sally. She tried to defend Adam, but when Nick didn’t want to hear it, she asked how Nick was doing.
He admitted that he was terrified for Victor so Sally suggested all three siblings work together. Nick didn’t think it was worth trying to get along with Adam, prompting Sally to let the issue go. Nick managed to figure out that Adam and Sally got awfully close the night before.
Victor Tests Nate And Adam
When Adam approached Victor in his office, he found a jovial man who didn’t seem to have a care in the world. When he began talking about Cameron Kirsten’s company merging with Newman Media, Adam tried to correct him but then didn’t bother. Nate (Sean Dominic) overheard the whole conversation but didn’t let on when he entered the room.
Nate took Adam aside to discuss Victor’s “condition”. Nate offered to talk to Victoria and be a champion for his assistant, but Adam told him not to even bother because Victoria will always hate him. Nate then went to talk to Victor, who seemed completely lucid with him. Still, Nate encouraged Victor to seek testing and treatment.
