Today’s The Young and the Restless recap for November 27, 2023, details the Newman clan’s strange trip to a lake house and Adam and Sally’s journey back to one another.
The Newmans’ First Mistake
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) remained in a sorry state in her bedroom prison. When she woke, she made was surprised to find a picture of Victor’s (Eric Braeden) old secretary and lover, Eve Howard, under her pillow.
Downstairs, a confused Cole (J. Eddie Peck) kept calling Victoria (Amelia Heinle) wondering why he was summoned, but also why she wasn’t there as he expected. It wasn’t long before he didn’t know what hit him — meaning Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) appeared with a hammer and clocked him over the head.
Jordan made her way upstairs next and introduced herself to Nikki. She assured Nikki that her family would be arriving soon, but she needed to rest and relax to get ready to join them. When Nikki accused Jordan of doing this to her, Jordan assured her that she did this to herself. In fact, her entire family did this to her.
More action took place downstairs when Claire (Hayley Erin) walked in with Victor, Victoria, and Nick (Joshua Morrow), still putting on her concerned assistant act. She immediately offered them water and Nick was happy to accept, passing the bottles around to his dad and sister. That may have not been a good idea.
Jordan And Claire Reveal All
They soon met Jordan, who told them Nikki was still at the hospital. They believed she was released at that point, but Jordan insisted she was fine and was staying one more night. However, when Victor insisted on knowing the name of the hospital, Jordan hedged the question.
She also put on a sweet little old lady act as she described what allegedly happened to Nikki, but soon revealed the truth. She took off her sling and let them know they were now her prisoners, so they better sit back and get comfortable.
Victoria and Nick demanded some answers right away, but a curious Victor wanted to hear Jordan’s whole story. She was ready to offer some tidbits, but asked Victor if she looked familiar to him first. Victor claimed he never saw her in his life, so she finally confessed the truth.
She was Eve Howard’s sister and she was ready for Victor and the rest of the Newmans to make amends for discarding Eve all those years ago like she was nothing. Jordan claimed that she and Eve were estranged when Victor knew her and they never had a chance to make amends because she died. She blamed Victor for her sister’s death.
Next, she informed the crowd in the living room that they had just drank poisoned water and she’d soon be watching them die. They tried to escape but Claire walked in next, dragging a woosy Cole with her. Victoria was shocked to see her ex, but even more shocked when Claire suddenly called her mother.
A Good Night For Adam
Adam (Mark Grossman) and Nate (Sean Dominic) had a tense meeting at the GCAC. Adam was looking for his family and Nate coldly informed him he no longer works at Newman Enterprises and wouldn’t know where they are. Nate was also tickled pink that the Newmans were keeping Adam in the dark as to their whereabouts.
Adam’s next run-in was with Sally (Courtney Hope). He couldn’t wait to tell her that his relationship with Victor had never been closer. The pair sat down at the bar for a drink, where Adam accused Sally of trying to avoid him since they slept together a few weeks ago. She explained she just needed time to process what happened and was still conflicted.
She wasn’t happy that he even considered using Victor’s (fake) illness to take him down, but Adam was proud of the fact that he couldn’t bring himself to go through with the plan. Adam finally revealed that Victor was faking everything, so he was the biggest liar of them all. Victor was trying to find a traitor and the traitor turned out to be Nate.
Adam once again circled back to talking about their relationship and where they go from here. Sally admitted she never stopped caring about him but felt she was somehow betraying Nick when she had sex with Adam. She was still very confused, but Adam wasn’t. He still wanted her back. The night ended with Sally agreeing to a date with Adam.
