In the upcoming episode of The Young and the Restless, Chloe learns about the kiss between Adam and Nick and Nick’s decision to break things off with Sally. This revelation sets the stage for a dramatic confrontation between the Newman brothers, leading to a major family conflict.
Sally’s Heart Dilemma:
According to The Young and the Restless (Y&R) Recap for Friday, October 13, Chloe will find Sally whining at Crimson Lights, and Sally will then spill the details of Adam’s and Nick’s kiss and Nick’s decision to call it quits. Chloe will believe that Sally simply needs to persuade Nick that she loves him and is interested in being with him. Sally will acknowledge having unresolved feelings for her ex-husband, Adam, despite Chloe’s attempts to steer her away from him. Sally will be urged by Chloe to follow her heart, but she will acknowledge that it might do so in a way that Chloe finds objectionable.
When Nick arrives at Society, Adam joins him at the bar and brings up how Victor earlier called him “Nicholas.” Nick will not consider that to be a big deal and will not be eager to engage in a brotherly discussion. Adam will be warned to stay away after Nick lashes out at him and pretends to be doing him a favor by refraining from punching him. Nick will still be followed by Adam to the park, where Adam will attempt to talk to Nick by grabbing his arm. Nick will yell at Adam to remove his hands from him and threaten to get physical in the process. Nick will call Adam a disgrace to the Newman family and tell him to get the hell out of there despite Adam’s apology for kissing Sally and his promise to keep his distance.
Victoria’s Concerns:
When the confrontation comes to an end, Victoria will assume it had something to do with Newman Enterprises, but Adam will insist it was a personal matter. Adam will be surprised when Victoria apologizes for her hasty judgment. Adam will discuss how their father called their brother “Nicholas” before ever saying it, so the siblings will also find common ground regarding their worries about Victor.
To discuss Adam’s updates on the “Nicholas” gaffe, Victoria and Nick will later get together. Victoria will be told to accept her promotion by Nick, who will continue to not see it as a problem. Victor is getting older and has experienced a number of significant medical issues recently, so Victoria will assert that she is genuinely concerned for him.
After stating that Victor is in a crisis, Victoria will issue a warning that things could worsen and express concern over Nick’s ability to handle such a scenario.
Before Chloe asks him to stop so they can finish talking, Adam interrupts Sally and Chloe’s conversation back at the coffee shop. Chloe will continue to try to steer Sally back to Nick and see Adam as just another remnant from her past. Sally will insist that those days are over and leave as Adam tries to persuade her to leave and engage in conversation. When Sharon presses Adam about it later, Adam confesses that he thinks Sally and Nick have passed away. When Adam says Sally belongs with him, Sharon will be shocked at his lack of empathy for the people he offended. This cannot be the end of their relationship, Sally insists in a voicemail she leaves for Nick in the park on Friday’s episode of Y&R.
With his “Nicholas” remark, Victor will claim in his office that he was making fun of Adam. He will also make a veiled allusion to Nikki about how everyone believes they can outwit him. Victor will think that Victoria is feigning acceptance of her downgrade while Adam is pretending to be okay with being Nate’s assistant.
The Looming Family Conflict:
Victor does not have any faith in either of them, as will be evident. Victor will make a suggestion that Nate might be trustworthy, but he will also acknowledge Nikki’s worries given that Nate was prepared to desert his own family at Chancellor-Winters. If Victor fires Nate and Adam, Nikki will suggest he might be able to persuade Nick to return; however, Victor plans to keep an eye on them alongside Victoria.
Victor wants Nikki to believe him when he says he believes someone is trying to stab him in the back. Victor will argue that his instincts have not been proven wrong and that he will not allow anyone to take over his empire as long as he is alive, which Nikki will perceive as paranoid. Claire will inadvertently frighten Nikki when she returns to Newman Media. When Claire thanks Nikki for the tea she brought and makes a hint about some problems in the Newman family, Nikki compliments Claire on her listening skills. Nikki will appear appreciative to Claire for her kindness even though she will not give any specifics.
Victor will encourage his son to speak to Nick once he sees him taking out his frustration on a punching bag. Victoria will take the CEO seat and sit in Victor’s office again, where she will look at the picture of her father. Before turning out the lights and leaving, Victoria will pick up a framed picture of herself and Victor and smash it on the ground. There will be some alarming news because The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that there will be a major Newman family conflict.
