Today’s The Young and the Restless recap for November 15, 2023, details Kyle’s new decision, Victor’s frustration, Nikki’s sticky situation, and much more.
Kyle Grows A Conscience
Audra (Zuleyka Silver) was surprised when Kyle (Michael Mealor) walked into Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) office to discuss their little plan to take over Jabot. Oddly enough, Kyle was having second thoughts about joining Audra and Tucker (Trevor St. John) in their coup plot. He didn’t think he could betray his family.
Audra was immediately alarmed and tried to convince Kyle he deserved the CEO position so he shouldn’t feel guilty. Kyle agreed he deserved the job but wanted to find a way of winning it without hurting the people he loved.
Kyle admitted he made his original decision out of anger but wanted to be able to live with himself now. If he joined her and Tucker, then that wouldn’t be possible. Audra tried to seduce Kyle into staying on her side, but Kyle wouldn’t budge. He made up his mind and was not going to do something heinous to his family.
Audra thought calling Kyle a boy and calling Tucker a real man would help her cause, but Kyle was disgusted at that point and didn’t want to have anything at all to do with her anymore. He announced that he was suddenly seeing things quite clearly. Even when she later texted him, Kyle ignored her.
Victor Wants Family Peace
Adam (Mark Grossman) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) both arrived at Victor’s (Eric Braeden) office for a chat, but all Victor wanted to know was where Victoria (Amelia Heinle)was. Nick told him she wouldn’t be coming, so Victor proceeded without her. He told Adam that Victoria threatened to never work for Newman again if he gave him any power.
However, Victor wasn’t about to listen to his demanding, greedy, and ungrateful daughter so he informed Adam that the game was over. Adam won thanks to taking Victor’s side over Nate (Sean Dominic). Victor wanted his sons to work together and if Victoria didn’t like it, she could take a hike.
Adam was shocked, to say the least, and felt there had to be a catch. Victor insisted there was no catch before Adam asked to hear Nick’s feelings on all of this. As expected, Nick was not happy and thought his brother didn’t deserve a position of power. Nick would try to convince his sister to stay with the company, but he knew they had to follow Victor’s wishes.
Nick couldn’t stop making cracks when Victor told Adam they would find the perfect position for him. Adam didn’t care what Nick had to say. He would accept what he was given. That just prompted Nick to chastise Victor for going against the kids who have always been loyal to him. (Again, where’s Abby?)
By then, Victor was just annoyed. He ordered his sons to get along or he’d fire all of them, ya got that?
Nate Is Going Home
Victoria tracked down Nate at the GCAC bar but he still didn’t want to have anything to do with her. He thought they were on a break but Victoria insisted he be up front with her and just say it was over. Nate wasn’t sure how he felt, but Victoria still pushed the matter.
She also ended up ticking off Nate some more when she mentioned that Victor may have had a point in believing Nate was the disloyal one. She believed Nate was sincere but also knew how it looked to her father.
Finally, Nate agreed to sit down with her and talk. Victoria told him that Adam was now the good guy, which was horrible news for Victoria. She regretted taking Adam’s side during the big dispute, which pleased Nate. However, he wasn’t pleased when she learned that Victor wanted to give Adam another high position at NE.
It was Nate who talked Victoria into working with Adam. She thought Adam that meant Adam won, but Nate believed Adam only would win if she left Newman. Still, he wasn’t prepared to fix their relationship just yet. He had to focus on his own career and might return to Chancellor-Winters. He was going home and he advised her to do the same.
Nikki’s Totally Terrified
Claire (Hayley Erin) stood over a sleeping Nikki with a creepy and menacing look on her face. She even held Nikki’s eye open to gain facial recognition access to her phone and text Nikki’s family to let them know she was safe and happy in Oregon.
When shaky and confused Nikki woke alone, she knew she’d been had, especially when she realized the bedroom door and windows were locked. Nikki went over everything that happened in her head and it hit her she drank some laced tea — and Claire was the one who laced it.
Claire finally informed Nikki via intercom that there was plenty of safe food and water for her to drink in the bedroom. Claire also told her she’d be with the rest of her family soon so there was no reason to panic.
