Today’s The Young and the Restless recap for November 28, 2023, details a dangerous and deranged time for the Newmans in an Oregon lake house.
An Unbelievable Story
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) was stunned to hear Claire (Hayley Erin) call her mother and claimed she had never seen her before in her life. Claire acted as if Victoria knew all about her and discarded her, but Victor (Eric Braeden) didn’t want to hear any more ‘nonsense’ — he just wanted to know where Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) was.
Jordan (Colleen Zenk) warned Victor that he had poison in his system, so he couldn’t physically do much to her if she didn’t give in to her demands. She turned the subject back to Claire and accused Victoria of knowing the truth deep down.
Jordan also informed the crew that small antidote bottles were hidden throughout the house and it was their job to find them and save themselves. Cole (J. Eddie Peck) finally spoke up and wondered why anyone should believe her. He also wasn’t sure if this woman was really his Aunt Jordan since he’d only met her a few times as a kid. He was as confused as everyone else.
Claire collected everyone’s phones so that they couldn’t call for help while Jordan sat down ready to watch her hostages slowly die unless they could save themselves. When she referred to Cole and Victoria as both of her parents, Victoria was more perplexed than ever. It finally hit Victoria and Cole that this young woman thought she was her baby, Eve, who died back in the 1990s.
Cole kept insisting that there was no way Jordan could be his aunt while Victoria informed Claire that Jordan was lying to her. She offered to show her Baby Eve’s grave to prove that her child with Cole died — a child she wanted more than anything.
When Claire angrily declared that she was Eve Cole Howard, who was given away, Victoria tried to slap her, but Claire grabbed her instead.
Nikki Fights For Her Life
Upstairs, poor Nikki remained in bed and in bad shape. She was once again hooked up to an IV and started hallucinating. She saw Victor in the room and thought he was going to rescue her, but instead, he was angry because she’d been drinking.
A delirious Nikki did her best to convince Dream Victor that the alcohol was forced on her, but she was in such bad shape that there wasn’t much she could say. At least Dream Victor was her cheerleader telling her she was strong enough to beat this.
Nikki eventually managed to get on her feet, but knocked over the IV. Everyone downstairs heard the crash so Jordan claimed it was the cat and tried to get Claire to go upstairs. At that point, Claire was preoccupied with what Victoria told her and looking at Jordan suspiciously.
Victoria asked to listen to the story Claire had to tell so she laid it all out there. She wasn’t wanted so they gave her away right after she was born and told everyone she was dead. She even wondered if Victoria thought about her on her birthday each year. All Victor wanted was to give these women a few million so they could all leave.
Jordan Tells Her Own Tale
Jordan had her own story — that the Newmans tried to convince him that his mother was crazy and unhinged. She also blamed Victor for Eve’s death.
A tearful Claire didn’t even care what Jordan had to say at this point. She just wanted Victoria to look in her eyes and recognize her as her daughter. She tried but had to look away before realizing the poison was starting to do its job. She begged Claire to help her family since her grudge was only against her and Cole.
Claire was stunned when Jordan nonchalantly admitted that she stole Eve from them and let them believe their baby died. She replaced Eve with another baby who had died and Cole and Victoria were none the wiser until now. Jordan wanted her for herself because she was her niece who her parents never deserved.
When Claire raged at Jordan for her lies, Victor made his way upstairs. When Nikki heard him, she started banging on the door and Victor finally heard her. After Victor and Nikki were reunited, Claire wondered if she was really Victoria’s daughter. Meanwhile, Jordan stabbed Nick (Joshua Morrow) as she made her way upstairs to confront Victor and Nikki.
