The Sept. 19, 2023 episode of The Young and the Restless was all about plotting. The Abbott brothers came together to plan an attack on an enemy. Meanwhile, Phyllis might be making a deal with the devil when she receives a tempting offer. Here’s a recap of what went down in Tuesday’s episode.
Jack and Billy Team Up To Take Down Tucker
At the Abbott mansion, Jack and Billy discuss Ashley. Jack informs Billy that Ashley will be staying in Paris for a while to clear her head. Talk then shifts to Tucker and the brothers are furious about the pain he caused Ashley. Jack worries that Tucker could be out for revenge and tells Billy he wants McCall out of Genoa City. Billy suggests using Devon in their plan, but Jack isn’t sure about the idea. The two men then head out to the jazz lounge for a drink.
Jack bumps into Tucker at the lounge and the two exchange barbs. The Abbott patriarch says it would be in everybody’s best interest if Tucker left town. Tucker informs Jack he’s not going anywhere, he’s staying because of his family. After Tucker leaves, Billy joins Jack at the bar. Jack agrees to Billy’s plan of using Devon to get rid of Tucker.
Phyllis Receives a Tempting Offer
At the jazz lounge, Phyllis is joined by Tucker, who inquires about Phyllis’ financial situation. He says he knows she’s having money troubles and could help her. Phyllis doesn’t want to listen, but Tucker says he’ll make it worth her while. All he needs is her IT skills to hack into a company website. Phyllis rejects the offer, claiming she’s already got a job at SNA Media. Tucker scoffs that’s a lie because there’s no way Nick and Sharon would hire her. Phyllis leaves just as Jack enters, she tells him nothing’s going on with her and Tucker. Jack responds he doesn’t care. On the way out, Phyllis bumps into Billy who shows her more courtesy than Jack. She inquires about Tucker and Ashley, and Billy warns Phyllis to stay away from Tucker.
Phyllis visits Sharon to ask about the latest developments with SNA Media. Sharon says Adam is no longer with the company. Phyllis says that’s a good thing, then makes a pitch for a job before leaving. Later Phyllis meets with Tucker to discuss details about the job. He won’t reveal the company’s name but promises Phyllis a payout of two million dollars.
Mariah and Tessa reunite
At Sharon’s cottage, she and Mariah discuss SNA Media. Mariah is happy Adam isn’t part of the company, and Sharon agrees. The discussion then turns to Chance and Sharon beams as she talks about her new beau. Sharon admits that she did notice an attraction between Summer and Chance. Mariah is annoyed at the thought of Summer causing trouble for her mother’s relationship. Sharon switches the topic to Aria, and Mariah admits she’s concerned about the audiologist appointment. Mariah wishes Tessa were here, and at that moment Tessa comes through the door surprising her wife. The couple then heads home to enjoy some alone time. Later in bed, they discuss Aria’s appointment. Tessa says they’ll take it one day at a time. Mariah says she’s happy Tessa’s home.
Summer Admits Her Attraction to Chance
Summer and Daniel meet at Society for drinks. Daniel tells her that Heather and Lucy are leaving, and he doesn’t know when they’ll be back. The conversation then turns to Summer and Kyle’s divorce. Summer says she’s doing fine and ready for her next adventure. When Daniel asks if it’s a romantic adventure, she says no. Summer talks about Chance and how he’s been a friend throughout her ordeal. Daniel asks if Summer’s attracted to Chance, and she admits she is, but doesn’t want to be the other woman. She doesn’t want to cause pain like she endured with Kyle and Audra. However, Summer admits it’s a shame Chance isn’t available.
