Today’s The Young and the Restless recap for November 29, 2023, details how the Newman family gets out of its precarious situation.
Claire’s Confused
At the Oregon lake house, Nick (Joshua Morrow) fell down the stairs with a bloody stab wound to the abdomen, while Jordan (Colleen Zenk) taunted Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) upstairs. Victor was concerned when he saw the blood on her knife. He ordered her to put the knife down but all she could do was rant about what he did to Eve and her family.
Nikki didn’t understand what she was talking about because she had no idea this was Eve’s sister and Cole’s (J. Edie Peck) aunt, claiming that Baby Eve was alive. Victor figured he would explain later because he wasn’t about to give up now.
The Great Victor Newman did what he had to do and knocked the knife out of Jordan’s hand before knocking the deranged woman onto the bed. He and Nikki quickly made a run for it — or as quickly as they could in their poisoned state.
Downstairs, Claire (Hayley Erin) was in shock watching two poisoned people she believed were her parents trying to save her alleged uncle’s life. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) begged Claire to call an ambulance as the young woman kept insisting this wasn’t supposed to happen. They were supposed to be emotionally destroyed, not physically.
Claire only wanted to hear them say they were sorry for abandoning her but Victoria and Cole told her they loved their baby who died. Claire insisted she was their baby but they still didn’t believe her.
Nick To The Rescue
Finally, Victor and Nikki made it down the stairs to tend to a wounded Nick. Claire wondered what happened to her aunt but Victor told her he didn’t “give a damn about that bitch.” He just wanted the antidote now. As everyone begged Claire to save them, Nikki pointedly told her that the rest of her life would depend on what she did next.
Claire finally relented, unlocked the drawer, and gave them the antidote explaining that Nikki only had an alcohol IV and wasn’t poisoned. As Victor drank away, Nick was the only one who could think, so his stabbed self made his way to the drawer to get his phone and call 911.
When the police got there, they found Jordan had escaped out the window before arresting Claire. When everyone left the house, we saw that Claire was hiding in the walls behind a heating vent.
Worries Back Home
Audra (Zuleyka Silver) entered Nikki’s empty office with paperwork. When she saw Victor and Nikki’s picture on the desk, she couldn’t help thinking about her boss and the nagging feeling that something was wrong. Audra called and left another message with Nikki to ask her to check-in.
Billy (Jason Thompson) also worried and left a message with Victoria before running into Nate (Sean Dominic) at Crimson Lights. Nate was concerned when he heard that Victoria told him that Nikki had a seizure but she hadn’t been in contact since.
Nate told Billy he could leave Victoria a message but wasn’t sure if she would respond. Billy wondered if Nate and Victoria were still together, believing he had a right to know because she was the mother of his children. Nate finally told Billy about Victor’s traitor trap and Billy said he could relate.
Audra was the next to arrive to get some coffee and was alarmed when she learned of Nikki’s fake seizure. They all agreed to let the other know if they heard from the Newmans.
