Today’s The Young and the Restless recap for November 1, 2023, details the next part of Victor’s plan, Adam’s angst, Chelsea’s big comeback, and Summer and Kyle’s career woes.
Victor Is Relentless
Victor (Eric Braeden) was ready for business at Newman Enterprises when Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) walked in, informing him that Victoria knew the truth about his fake dementia act. Victor feigned ignorance and pretended to wonder what the heck they were talking about.
As they went on and on talking about the plan and helping him snare Adam, Victor continued to act confused. He wasn’t setting a trap to find traitors and instead accused Nick and Victoria of setting a trap for him. He even pretended he didn’t remember seeing Nick the previous night at all.
Victor left his kids perplexed as usual before having a conversation with Nate (Sean Dominic). Victor asked Nate if he had contacted the specialist Nate had mentioned while insisting he was the only one that he could trust. Nate soon took Victor to Chancellor Park where the older man seemed to be going for an Oscar by pretending to not know where he was.
Nate took note when Victor told him that Adam (Mark Grossman) and Victoria were going to take him down. Therefore he was “going to fire their asses” and put a stop to that.
Sally’s Still Confused
Adam and Sally (Courtney Hope) woke up together, but Adam had to quickly leave thanks to a text from Nate. He was late to work and had to rush out. At least Sally told him she didn’t regret what happened the night before but that didn’t mean they were back together. She needed some time for herself to figure out the next step.
Once alone, Sally reflected on her night in bed with Adam but still didn’t know which Newman brother she really wanted.
When Adam tried to leave the GCAC, he ran into Nick and Victoria. His siblings told them to stay out of their father’s business because they could take care of him.
Chelsea Makes Her Return
Billy (Jason Thompson) was surprised when he was sitting alone in the park and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) appeared. She was back in town and ready to resume their romance. She also had work issues to deal with as Summer and Chloe were not getting along at Marchetti.
Connor was happily settled into his new school and he was okay with her returning to GC. Billy and Chelsea then took their reunion back to her apartment above Crimson Lights where they made love for the first time in months.
Mariah Has Questions
Kyle (Michael Mealor) also got a surprise when Mariah (Camryn Grimes) sat down with him at Society. They hadn’t talked in ages, but Mariah was ready to catch up now. Kyle learned all about Aria and how she was getting her first set of hearing aids that day.
The subject soon turned to Kyle’s job search, but he didn’t bother telling Mariah that he’d just made a deal with Audra (Zuleyka Silver) and Tucker (Trevor St. John) to take Jabot away from his family and install himself as CEO. Still, Mariah was alarmed by his tone of voice and assumed he was just trying to get Billy fired. She suggested he start his own business instead.
Summer (Alison Laier) came down hard on Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and didn’t like her and Chelsea’s first design sketches. Chloe was taken aback when Summer told her that they needed to start over again. Chloe tried to convince Summer to allow her and Chelsea to be creative on their own terms, but Summer wasn’t on board.
She knew what she wanted and wasn’t going to bend. Sales were also down, which had Summer alarmed. Chloe did her best to make her case with Summer, but offended her when she suggested Summer was trying to prove herself with Kyle gone.
