Thursday’s edition of The Bold and the Beautiful features shakeups for two couples. One couple decides to end their secret romance, while another is in for a romantic surprise. Here’s what went down on the Sept. 21, 2023 episode.
Deacon Breaks Up With Sheila
At Deacon’s apartment, he panics as Hope knocks on the door and asks if he’s home. Deacon says to give him a minute, then hides Sheila in the next room. When he answers the door, Hope asks what took so long and Deacon lies that he was about to take a shower. The two chat and Hope mentions that Beth and Douglas miss their grandpa. Deacon says he misses them too and promises to stop by one day for dinner. The conversation switches to Liam, and Hope says they’re learning to co-parent. Deacon worries about Hope and she appreciates his concern. He says he loves her and nothing and no one is going to come between them. Sheila listens attentively at Deacon’s proclamation.
Hope receives a text and cuts their visit short. After she leaves, Sheila comes out. Deacon sighs that was close and he can’t keep doing this. He tells Sheila he loves her, she’s got this mysterious aura he can’t resist. But he can’t risk losing his daughter. Sheila is upset, but understands Deacon’s decision and doesn’t want to hurt his relationship with Hope. Deacon says it took hard work, but things worked out for him and Hope. He wishes the same for Sheila and Finn, and she replies that she’s sure it’ll happen.
Finn Agrees To Get Rid Of Sheila
At the cliff house, Finn and Li are still discussing Sheila. She warns him that Sheila will destroy everything he values and he’s the only one who can stop her. Finn says it’s tough having Steffy and the kids gone. He wants them back here at their home. He realizes in order to do that he needs to put an end to Sheila’s madness. Li is glad Finn’s coming around and tells him to break the hold Sheila has on him. When Finn inquires how will he solve his problem, Li reminds him how he thought outside the box with his homework. She says to use that method and the answer will come to him. Finn promises he’ll get rid of Sheila, and bring Steffy home.
Thomas And Hope’s Romantic Surprise
In his office, Thomas is showing Douglas some sketches. Douglas asks how Thomas can draw so good. Thomas admits that Hope is a big inspiration. Douglas begins his family talk agains and suggests they have a play date at the beach. Thomas reminds his son that if they’re meant to be a family date will work it out. Douglas smirks and agrees his dad his right. When Thomas asks if Douglas wants to draw, the boy says he’s going out with Aunt Donna.
Later Thomas arrives home to find a candlelight supper for two. Hope arrives soon afterwards saying she got Thomas’ text. He replies he never sent a text, but says he got one from Hope. She says she didn’t send him a text, and they realize Douglas is behind the messages. They call out their son, who appears dressed as a waiter. He admits he’s responsible for the text and Hope’s in awe of how quickly he set up the dinner. Thomas remarks that the Forrester know how to throw together romantic surprises. He then reminds his son of their conversation about letting things progress naturally. Douglas tells them they’re the best parents and they make each other better, just like all families do.
