Today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for October 19, 2023, has Li deciding to taunt Sheila with Italian food and Hope begging Deacon to end his life with the town pariah.
Sheila’s Face Hits the Spaghetti
Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) was all happy with her new job as an Il Giardino server and was grateful to Deacon (Sean Kanan) for giving her a job. He reminded her that he’s now told everyone she’s changed so she had to stop obsessing about Finn (Tanner Novlan). Sheila wasn’t ready to do that and still had hope they could have a relationship one day.
Deacon reminded her that he was putting everything on the line for her and he needed Sheila to be on her best behavior. But, when he asked her to promise to stay away from Finn and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), she refused and said she only wanted to live a quiet and normal life.
Li (Naomi Matsuda) was happy to overhear Finn leaving a voicemail for Steffy. That meant he was focusing on his family and could soon bring Steffy and the kids home. Finn mentioned that Steffy still worried about Sheila being around so Li once again ordered Finn to cut her out of his life. He said he already tried and then informed her that Sheila was planning to get married.
Finn was even hopeful that Deacon’s love could actually change her. He even thought that Deacon controlling Sheila might prompt Steffy to no longer feel that Sheila was a threat so she could come home. All Li wanted to do was make sure she was put behind bars.
So, Li decided to take matters into her own hands and become Sheila’s first guest her new day on the job. Sheila tried to keep a straight face as Li taunted her and threw barware on the floor all in an attempt to trip her up. Sheila explained she was changed now because she had Deacon but Li wondered what would happen if she and Deacon ever broke up.
Sheila insisted she’d still be a changed woman even without Deacon. However, Li proved she hadn’t changed when a plate of spaghetti arrived and she dunked Sheila’s face in it.
Hope Pleaded With Deacon
Hope (Annika Noelle) tried to focus on work by telling Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) she was focusing on Hope for the Future and all its newest designs. Brooke took the opportunity to tell Hope how much she worried about her working with Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), so Hope changed the subject to Deacon and Sheila’s newly discovered romance.
Brooke was convinced that Deacon lost his mind and Hope didn’t know whether to be furious with Deacon or terrified for him. Hope got even more upset about the situation when Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) demanded to know if her dad had lost his mind.
Hope couldn’t take it anymore and ran off to see Deacon. She couldn’t even believe her ears when Deacon told her that he gave Sheila a job at his restaurant. She feared he would lose customers when they learned there was a killer serving them breadsticks and pasta.
Hope then asked if he was willing to risk losing her so Deacon insisted he loved her. Hope didn’t know if she could believe that anymore. She wouldn’t have even invited him to Beth’s birthday party if she knew about Sheila. She begged Deacon to choose her and end things with Sheila, but he couldn’t do it.
