Today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for December 27, 2023, details Steffy’s insistence that she knew Hope and Thomas better than they knew themselves.
Steffy Ticks Thope Off
When Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) demanded to know if Hope (Annika Noelle) loved her brother, Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) spoke up for Hope and told her she didn’t have to answer. He then asked Steffy why she’d put Hope on the spot like that. Steffy didn’t care what anyone had to say, so she pointed out the kiss in Rome without mentioning her own Rome kiss, and once again asked Hope if she loved Thomas.
Thomas once again asked Steffy to stop, but she refused and wondered if Hope was leading Thomas on. Hope admitted she had feelings for Thomas, but Steffy wanted to hear Hope say she was in love. When Hope didn’t do what she was told, Steffy declared that Hope would never love Thomas and that was that.
Thomas finally explained to his sister that Hope had been honest about her feelings. Hope also stepped in and told Steffy this was an intimate matter between her and Thomas and absolutely none of Steffy’s business.
Finally, Thomas asked Hope to leave so he could talk to Steffy alone and ask her what the heck she was doing. Was she really trying to sabotage his relationship? Steffy insisted she was just concerned but Thomas insisted that now was his and Hope’s chance and he was willing to wait for her to be ready to make a lifetime commitment.
As for Hope, she made her way to Eric’s (John McCook) office where she found Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). He asked her the same thing that Steffy did, but not as forcefully. He then said he wouldn’t interfere with their relationship and Hope was grateful, but wished others would just leave her and Thomas be, as well.
Back in the design office, Thomas came down hard on Steffy for not minding her own business. When Finn heard the argument, he immediately stepped in and told Thomas to never talk to his wife like that again.
Ridge Wants Perfection
Earlier, Finn was hard at work in his office when Ridge walked in to talk about Eric’s progress and prognosis. Ridge was worried that Eric would never be the same again. Finn assured Ridge that Eric was meeting all his recovery markers, but could not 100% tell him what would happen a few weeks or months down the road.
When the subject of just letting Eric go came up, Finn told Ridge he understood Ridge’s predicament. He was not sure what he would have done in Ridge’s situation. That just caused Ridge to ruminate some more over the fact that Eric seemed ready to go and they stopped him.
Ridge, without a hint of awareness that Eric is an old man and older people slow down as they age, felt if Eric wasn’t exactly as he was when this ordeal began, then they should have allowed Eric to die. Cause if you can’t play pickleball, why live, right?
At least Ridge decided to show a little gratitude and thanked Finn for saving Eric’s life.
