Today’s General Hospital recap for November 21, 2023, details Charlotte breaking down with Nina, Anna and Valentin’s heartbreak, Sonny’s warnings, and much more.
Charlotte Is A Vandal
Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) was thrilled when Nina (Cynthia Watros) stopped by her hospital room bearing gifts. She thought some people were nice to her because of Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), but Nina loved her just for her. Nina wondered if Charlotte was talking about Anna (Finola Hughes).
Charlotte insisted that Anna was phony and only pretended to be kind, so Nina gently brought up what Charlotte told Laura — that she was dangerous. Finally, Nina asked her what she did to make Anna want to leave Valentin and Port Charles.
The girl insisted she didn’t do anything to hurt Anna, but she did spray paint her front door after seeing the article about Anna being a double agent. She also admitted to trashing the hotel room, but not to setting the fire. On Halloween, she planned to spray paint another message at her new place, but Anna found her and shot her first.
Finally, Nina asked the million-dollar question, assuring Charlotte that she’d love her no matter the answer — did she have anything to do with burning Anna’s house down? Charlotte insisted she had nothing to do with the fire and Nina believed her.
The End Of Vanna?
Anna and Valentin shared a tense meeting at the Metro Court where he gave her an update on Charlotte, but he also had news for her. He knew why Charlotte was targeting her and it was all thanks to Victor (Charles Shaughnessy). He showed her Victor’s letter to Charlotte. When she read it, she was shocked and heartbroken.
She couldn’t believe that Charlotte felt this way about her but was also heartbroken that she felt so much fear. Anna knew Charlotte was just trying to protect Valentin from her all thanks to Victor’s lies. When Anna asked if she had admitted to the things she had done, Valentin had to tell her he hadn’t confronted his daughter yet.
Anna was further shocked because it looked like Valentin still thought they had a future. He wanted them all to live together after Charlotte was mentally healed. Valentin acted like a man in his amazement that Anna didn’t see things his way. He was sure they could get through this.
Anna was not so sure. After all, Valentin kept the truth from her for weeks, and if she had known what was going on, she wouldn’t have pulled her gun. She was also hurt that Valentin didn’t feel he could trust her. She accused him of not trusting people because he can’t be trusted himself.
He admitted he might have been afraid that Anna didn’t love him the way he loved her so he was trying to protect himself and their relationship but went about it all wrong. Anna never doubted their love, but pointed out there was this mistrust between them that led to her shooting his daughter. She knew Charlotte would always remember what happened any time she saw her.
In the end, Anna knew if she was going to have peace in her life, Valentin couldn’t be in it.
Sonny And Carly’s Busy Days
Carly (Laura Wright) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) met up at Kelly’s where they discussed her decision to turn down Nina’s offer to sell her the Metro Court. She admitted that it was hard to watch Nina enjoy the things that used to be hers.
However, Carly was happy with her new life and all her blessings and so was Drew. They agreed that they both were incredible people, but Drew wanted to make sure that Carly didn’t let the people who hurt her do it all again.
Carly knew Drew might have been talking about himself, so he told her all about Ned being mad that he and Michael (Chad Duell) did things at ELQ they had no authority to do. Proving he learned nothing from his months in jail, Drew was still convinced Ned (Wally Kurth) was responsible for putting him there and wanted him out of the way.
At the Port Charles Grille, Sonny (Maurice Benard) had a good time taunting Cyrus (Jeff Kober) as he watched him mop the floors. Sonny warned him that if he heard he was back in the organized crime game, that would be the end of him.
Cyrus stressed that he was trying to start fresh, but Sonny didn’t buy it. He confronted Cyrus, telling him he knew he set him up, using Austin (Roger Howarth), Mason (Nathanyael Grey), and Ava (Maura West) to get the job done. Cyrus claimed innocence, of course. Sonny still wasn’t deterred and told Cyrus that he walked right into a trap.
Meanwhile, Curtis (Donnell Turner) decided it was time to know who was behind putting him in a wheelchair. Sonny believed he was the target but might Curtis learn something new? He asked Jordan (Tanisha Harper) to help him get to the truth.
Port Charles Odds And Ends
Maxie (Kirsten Storms) summoned Cody (Josh Kelly) to Deception to go over the results of his first photo shoot with Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and an alpaca. Sasha listened in from the hallway as Maxie described their next shoot and Cody told her that he wouldn’t be a part of it.
Despite the money he could earn, Cody explained that he couldn’t be the Male Face Of Deception. If Sasha didn’t feel comfortable with working with him, he wasn’t going to do it. Finally, Sasha walked in and said she had re-thought things and was willing to give their modeling partnership a go.
Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) stunned Finn (Michael Easton) when she told him that she couldn’t represent him. She didn’t realize what case Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was talking about when she called and it turned out she was representing the family suing him. They even had her on retainer. Perhaps it’s time to give Alexis her law license back…
