Today’s General Hospital recap for November 1, 2023, details Charlotte’s first therapy session, Carly’s encounter with Cyrus, Quartermaine squabbles, and more.
Charlotte Has Big Plans For Anna
Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was pleased to see Anna (Finola Hughes) stop by but worried when Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) wanted Anna to try her new baked goods before anyone else. Anna decided she was better off with candy and announced she’d moved into Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) apartment. Charlotte was thrilled because now Anna had a place of her own.
Both Anna and Valentin finally agreed to try Charlotte’s pumpkin bars but ran to the kitchen when the oven caught on fire. As Valentin said, at least she didn’t burn the house down.
Charlotte and Valentin’s next stop was Kevin’s (Jon Lindstrom) office so Charlotte could tell all. Of course, Charlotte did not tell all. She claimed she didn’t have any big secrets to tell. Her papa was just overreacting. When the session was over, Kevin dictated his notes, claiming that Charlotte was evasive and only said what she wanted people to hear. She was also highly protective of her father.
As for Anna? She had Robert (Tristan Rogers) help her move an old trunk she had in storage. It was filled with old files Anna insisted on going through. Perhaps it held a clue to who was after her. When she couldn’t find her new key, the maintenance man let her in. Little did she know that Charlotte swiped her copy.
Carly And Cyrus Spar
Carly (Laura Wright) was unnerved when Cyrus (Jeff Kober) entered Kelly’s as she readied for the Halloween party. She immediately ordered him to leave but he needed something from her — a job. He wanted to be a diner cook but Carly wasn’t having it. She had no problem hiring ex-cons, but she wasn’t going to employ a monster like him.
All Carly could do was remember how she protected Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) territory from Cyrus when Sonny was presumed dead. She didn’t make mention of the fact that she did this by kidnapping his mother from a nursing home. Cyrus reminded her how the new and improved Cyrus saved Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) life.
Carly’s next visitors were much more welcome. Ava (Maura West) and Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) arrived to show off Avery’s costume. During Carly and Ava’s chat, Carly was stunned to hear that Ava had found a buyer for Spoon Island and Wyndemere. She just didn’t know who it was.
Memories For Neddie, Deception For BLQ
Lois (Rena Sofer) was impressed with Leo’s (Easton Rocket Sweda) math skills as he dressed like Einstein for Halloween. Leo was just as impressed with Lois because her legendary math skills were also on full display. The two were engaged in a math contest that Neddie wanted nothing to do with, but Edward Q would have loved it back in the day.
After Leo ran off to his room, Lois and Ned (Wally Kurth) made some small talk. When Lois mentioned the Brooklyn Bridge, Neddie suddenly had a flash to his and Lois’s wedding day as they kissed atop the famous bridge. Neddie felt uncomfortable with what he remembered and made a mad dash from the room.
In the kitchen, Neddie seemed inspired and began working on his song. When Lois heard him, she rushed in and offered encouragement.
Granny Tracy (Jane Elliot) was pleased to see Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) in the Q mansion, but BLQ wanted nothing to do with her. Tracy persisted, so Brook Lynn told her she didn’t want her gift of Deception so she could shove it. Tracy warned Brook Lynn her lifestyle would have to change on a cop’s salary — and a music manager’s. BLQ just claimed that money wasn’t everything.
Tracy just wanted Brook Lynn to have something real and stable. She was trying to secure her granddaughter’s future even if she used underhanded methods to achieve her goals. Brook Lynn admitted Tracy’s intentions might have been good in her own warped mind, but it still wasn’t what she wanted.
Elsewhere, Scott (Kin Shriner) joined Lucy (Lynn Herring) for coffee and was surprised when she told him she wanted to back out of her deal with Tracy. Too bad Scott had to inform her that what was done was done. So, Lucy decided she would somehow get 2% of her company back.
