Today’s General Hospital recap for December 15, 2023, details a Christmas miracle, Kristina’s big news, and Brook Lynn’s new quest.
Keeping Up With Sonny And Donna
As Sonny (Maurice Benard) got Donna ready to go Christmas shopping with Michael (Chad Duell), she asked if Grandpa Mike (Max Gail) took him shopping when he was little. Of course, Mike did despite not being around for much of Sonny’s childhood.
Once alone with Michael, Donna wished on a star that she could find Grandpa Mike’s old cap, something Sonny said he sadly lost. When in Rice Plaza, she found just the right hat sitting on a park bench.
Laura (Genie Francis) and Marty (Michael E. Knight) discussed the possibility that Cyrus (Jeff Kober) could have killed Austin (Roger Howarth). They wanted to get to the truth, so Marty left and Laura welcomed Sonny to her office. Sonny admitted he didn’t talk to Dante much about work and crime.
However, Dante told Laura that a reliable source told him Cyrus had something to do with Austin. Laura knew that the source had to be Sonny. Laura asked him bluntly if her brother was a murderer. Sonny pointed out that he has murdered in the past, but didn’t think he killed Austin. He also didn’t believe that Cyrus had really found religion.
In the end, Sonny thought that Cyrus wasn’t going to risk going back to prison any time soon.
Sonny finally made his way to Rice Plaza to meet up with Donna and Michael. When Donna presented him with the cap, he swore it was the cap Mike had owned.
Kristina Spreads The News Some More
After Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) interviewed Jordan (Tanisha Harper) for a news story, the two women got to talking about their children and the new surrogacy plan. Both women had some trepidations about the idea of Kristina (Kate Mansi) being a surrogate for Molly (Kristen Vaganos) — with Jordan wondering if they were rushing into things.
Kristina was surprised to see Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) at her door first thing in the morning asking what her big news was. After being so excited about it the day before, Kristina was a little more hesitant to share the news now, but Blaze finally got it out of her as Kristina blurted out that she was going to have a baby.
Kristina explained Molly’s infertility story to Blaze. When she saw Molly crying on the park bench, it broke her heart. She genuinely wanted to give Molly a child, something that absolutely impressed Blaze. She just wanted to know if this was what Kristina truly wanted for herself.
Despite Blaze’s concerns, Kristina admitted that being pregnant and giving Molly and TJ a child felt right in her heart.
When Kristina asked what this news meant for their burgeoning relationship, Blaze assured her things wouldn’t change. She liked what was happening between them and didn’t want to cut it short.
All About Deception
Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) stunned Maxie (Kirsten Storms) when she told her she was back at Deception to stay, all because of her Granny Tracy (Jane Elliot). Maxie was confused about why she would give up her career as a music manager for a corporate job she didn’t love, so Brook Lynn told her.
BLQ planned to gain control of the company from her grandmother so she could give it to Maxie and take care of all her money troubles. She planned to convince Tracy that she was a business genius — or blackmail her. Either way, she was going to get Tracy to give her the company so she’d hand it right back to Maxie.
Before Maxie could react to the plan, Lucy (Lynn Herring) showed up and wanted Brook Lynn gone. She still blamed her for everything that happened. Brook Lynn informed her that Tracy’s controlling interest in the company meant she had more of a right to be there than Lucy.
The Faces of Deception had a better day when Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) left a gift for Cody (Josh Kelly) in the stables and then hid so he could find it. When Sasha came out of hiding, he opened the gift — a photo book of Monument Valley, where they’d be going for a Deception photoshoot.
When Cody lamented that he didn’t have a gift for her, she told him he gave her the greatest gift. Her freedom and mental health. Cody didn’t want Sasha to feel obligated to him and she assured him that she wasn’t.
