Today’s General Hospital recap for October 31, 2023, details Laura’s run-in with Cyrus, Trina’s bad dream, Valentin’s deal with Charlotte, and more.
Cyrus Makes The Rounds Again
Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) was surprised to open the door to Cyrus (Jeff Kober). He reminded her that they met in Pentonville, which alarmed Esme. She backed away but Cyrus walked in anyway while putting on his happy and friendly face. When Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) arrived, he tried to get Cyrus to leave, but his uncle wanted to catch up.
Spencer quickly sent Ace and Esme to work and demanded to know what Cyrus wanted. Cyrus insisted he was only looking out for the good of their family and nobody needed protection from him. When Spencer pointed out Cyrus’s many sins, he angrily told him that the Lord had forgiven him.
That’s when Laura (Genie Francis) walked in and took her brother to task for harassing her family. Cyrus declared it was his family too and he had a right to know them. Laura finally agreed to give Cyrus a chance, but only if he followed her ground rules. He would have to respect her boundaries and never show up at her home unless he’s been invited.
Trina’s Horrible Dream
Trina (Tabyana Ali) had a horrible nightmare that Cyrus was chasing her through the gallery. In the dream, Spencer showed up and announced that she was his girlfriend. Cyrus pointed out he could just replace her with Esme and the nightmare version of Spencer agreed. Thankfully, Trina woke up in her dorm room and realized it was just a horrible dream.
Joss (Eden McCoy) was there to comfort Trina as she explained the effect Cyrus’s visit had on her. Joss was surprised to hear that Cyrus apologized for holding Trina and Portia at gunpoint almost three years ago. She felt a sense of relief when she screamed at Cyrus, something Joss thought was totally badass.
Spencer and Trina later met up at Kelly’s for a more festive occasion. It was their job to decorate for Halloween.
Laura Needs Sonny’s Help
Laura and Sonny (Maurice Benard) caught up on each other’s lives at his money-laundering Italian restaurant where Laura needed a favor. He thought it was about Cyrus but it was really about Spencer — and Nikolas (Adam Huss). Sonny was the next person to learn Laura’s son was alive but hid his surprise. According to Ava (Maura West), she killed him, but apparently, she didn’t do a very good job.
Laura relayed the sadness she saw on Spencer’s face when she told him his father was alive. She needed Sonny to talk to him and be a support system for her grandson and his nephew. Sonny pointed out that Nikolas was a problem and didn’t realize the emotional damage he’d done to his son.
Sonny wasn’t sure he was the right person to get in the middle of a family problem, but Laura just wanted Sonny to be there in case Spencer came to him for advice. Laura was also concerned about Spencer’s attachment to Esme and Ace. Sonny thought Spencer should put Trina first or he could lose her.
All About Anna, Charlotte, And Valentin
Anna (Finola Hughes) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) met up at Kelly’s where Anna complained of lack of sleep. She couldn’t stand being at the Metro Court anymore so Felicia had an idea. While it might not have been the right time to move in with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) due to Charlotte’s (Scarlett Fernandez) needs, Felicia had another thought. Anna could move into Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) old apartment. It was the perfect temporary solution.
When Anna checked the place out, she thought it was absolutely perfect for her. Anna felt so good about things that she told Sonny she was sending back his bodyguard.
Charlotte was furious that Valentin wouldn’t allow her to go trick or treating on her own and accused her dad of not trusting her. She was mortified at the idea of Valentin joining her and her group of friends. Valentin insisted he was a super spy once so he knew how to stay in the shadows.
Charlotte still didn’t like the idea, but Valentin pointed out that he still worried about her due to all the upheaval in her life. Charlotte announced that it was all good now because they had a home for just the two of them.
Since Charlotte still insisted on going with her friends alone, Valentin had a proposal for her. He wanted her to talk to Kevin (Jon Lindstrom), her step-grandfather who was also a therapist. Charlotte finally agreed to his terms so she got her teenage trick-or-treat wish.
