General Hospital spoilers for for January 18, 2024, promise a day of reckoning for Michael that will probably end better than he thinks.
Carly’s Mad, But How Long Can It Last?
When Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) gets angry, you better watch out because she might not tell you who your children are, among decades worth of other transgressions. However, this time she is angry at her own child, and rightfully so.
After all, Michael (Chad Duell) did keep a big secret from her. While it wouldn’t have gotten Drew (Cameron Mathison) out of jail time for a crime he actually committed, Carly still believes she deserved to know who ratted her and Drew out. Now, Michael has to both brace himself and explain himself.
With not even a hint of self-awareness, Carly explains to Michael that keeping things buried has unintended consequences. She is quite right and might want to apply that logic to her own life. She and Nina kept secrets, did petty things, hurt each other, and hurt others. Maybe it’s time they both admit that truth and move on.
As for Drew, he takes his sorrows and has a chat with a sorrowful Anna. Their lives are not going the way they want, but at least Anna can own up to her mistakes. Maybe she can get Drew to do the same.
Esme Is Desperate
After learning that Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) knows she has her memories back AND that he handed over her baby to his father, Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) is a hot mess and doesn’t know what to do to solve the problems she brought on by herself.
To that end, she seeks help from an unlikely source. Who does she turn to? Is it Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), the nurse who helped Nikolas but felt guilty about it? Could it be Portia (Brook Kerr), a woman who wants to see Spencer and Trina (Tabyana Ali) apart? Or does she turn to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) for some legal advice despite Alexis not being a lawyer anymore?

As Kristina (Kate Mansi) prepares herself to be an egg donor and a surrogate, she has to re-evaluate her relationship with Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez). However, she is surprised when Blaze says she notices Kristina pulling away from her.
TJ (Tajh Bellow) is also still ruminating over the situation and asked Jordan (Tanisha Harper) if she feels comfortable with his and Molly’s (Kristen Vaganos) decision to use Kristina as their surrogate.
