This week’s The Young and the Restless recap for January 8-12, 2024, details Newman women finding their strengths and dealing with their weaknesses — plus much more.
Claire Faces Jordan
Claire (Hayley Erin) held to her determination not to have a relationship with her parents, mainly because she didn’t feel she deserved one. However, dreams of Jordan (Colleen Zenk) kept haunting her so she asked Cole (J. Eddie Peck) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) for a favor. Could they take her to see Jordan so she could confront her aunt on her own terms? After some consideration, they agreed and Victoria even got Victor (Eric Braeden) to give them the Newman jet.
Once alone with Jordan, Claire told her that she could no longer hurt and manipulate her, but that didn’t stop Jordan from taunting her some more. She said that Claire chose the wrong side and she had plenty of time behind bars to plan more revenge against the Newmans. In the end, Claire left feeling vindicated while holding Victoria’s hand.
Nikki Gets Drunk
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) did her best to resist the bottle by going to an AA meeting and talking with her sponsor, but she lied to him and didn’t tell him she drank from the flask in her purse. She then got publicly drunk at the GCAC where she ran into Lauren (Tracy E. Bregman). Nikki begged Lauren not to call Victor, so Lauren took her up to a room, ordered a pot of coffee, and hoped Nikki would sober up.
When Lauren answered Nikki’s phone as Victor called, she let Nikki believe she was covering for her. However, when a suspicious Victor asked if his wife had been drinking, she quietly said yes and Victor was at least relieved that someone was taking care of his sweetheart.
Audra’s Had Enough
After another argument with Kyle (Michael Mealor), Audra (Zuleyka Silver) was ready for a change and told him it was over between them on both a business and personal level. Watching him punch Tucker (Trevor St. John) didn’t help Kyle’s situation, but Tucker thought Audra was defending him.
Imagine Tucker’s shock when Audra told him he could also hit the road. She was done with both of them and was ready to forge her own way. Later, to her surprise, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) approached her and wanted to talk about Tucker. Audra listened but could offer Ashley no more insight into Tucker than Ashley already had.
Sally And Adam Together Again
Sally (Courtney Hope) and Adam (Mark Grossman) enjoyed not one, but two dates all in the same day where they made small talk, ate good food, and talked about where their relationship might be headed. After the second date and a run-in with Nick (Joshua Morrow), Sally invited Adam up to her room. She was pleased with how well Nick and Adam were trying to get along, as was Victor.
Once in her room, they were both a little hesitant to do more than talk and eat chocolate. But, as expected, Adam and Sally fell into bed with one another. It looked like the romance was back on again.
