Today’s The Young and the Restless recap for December 21, 2023, details Jordan’s sick plan and Jack’s successful plan.
Victoria’s Horrifying Discovery
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) arrived at Claire’s (Hayley Erin) hospital room with some clothing for her, but the young woman was nowhere to be found. However, Vicky found a bracelet on her bed that she remembered seeing on Jordan’s (Colleen Zenk) wrist when she held them captive in the lake house.
Soon, an orderly arrived with Claire’s dinner. He clearly expected to see the patient there, so Victoria knew something was wrong and immediately demanded to see security. The guard told her he saw a woman with blonde hair slip in earlier and Victoria knew it was Claire in a wig.
Victoria called Cole (J. Eddie Peck) right away and told him the news. The situation reminded her of when Jordan took Claire when she was a premature infant. She just snuck into the hospital and left with their daughter a second time. Cole rushed over to Claire’s room and assured Victoria they’d find her.
Jordan’s Plan
When Victor (Eric Braeden) left Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) alone for a few minutes at the GCAC, she quickly took out her flask and had a drink. Nate (Sean Dominic) saw her and asked what she was doing, so she quickly walked away, but Nate followed. He accused her of doing exactly what she did, so a visibly drunk Nikki lashed out and called him a liar.
Nate soon found Victor on his phone (tweeting?) and told him what he saw. This news got Victor to sit up and take notice. He warned Nate not to say another word about Nikki drinking to anyone.
As for Nikki, she ran home to drink some more before getting another taunting call from Jordan. This time, Jordan revealed herself and told her she was watching her every move from a distance. Jordan also told Nikki she had a choice to make — she had Claire and would give her back — if she could have Victoria in exchange.
Bringing Down Tucker
Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) went over their own plan to bring down Tucker (Trevor St. John), with Ashley feeling guilty about leaking the statutory rape coverup to the press. Jack insisted they had to do it as Ashley braced for the fallout.
Jack had no doubts about what they were doing, but Ashley worried for Devon (Bryton James) and Dominic. Would they be ok when the truth came out? Devon might not be talking to Tucker at the moment, but the man was still his father.
Kyle (Michael Mealor) met up with Audra (Zuleyka Silver) at Crimson Lights and told her he was all in on their plan. However, he still tried to convince her that Tucker might be snowing her and she should team up with him just in case that happened.
A frantic Kyle then told Audra all about the leaked scandal, which in turn panicked Audra. Kyle claimed he tried to stop Jack, but it was to no avail. Audra was determined that she wouldn’t go down and immediately ran off to tell Tucker.
She knew Tucker was right. They couldn’t trust Kyle because he was just using her. Kyle swore he tried to keep her name out of it and warned her as soon as he knew what was going down.
Back in his room, Tucker got ready for his new perfume empire — until he got a news alert that was all about him. He didn’t count on this mess and quickly barged into the Abbott mansion in a fury. It’s a good thing Jack and Ashley were expecting him.
Tucker was crushed the moment he saw Ashley, knowing she teamed up with her brother to destroy him. After he left, he met with Audra to strategize their next move.
