Today’s The Young and the Restless recap for October 31, 2023, details more of Tucker’s many troubles, Kyle’s greed, and Billy’s determination.
Ashley Changes Mamie’s Mind
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Mamie (Veronica Redd) spent some time bonding over coffee. Mamie was concerned about Ashley after the collapse of her short-lived marriage, but Ashley claimed she was ok. She was also surprised and impressed with Mamie’s little Chancellor-Winters move.
When the subject turned back to Ashley and Tucker’s (Trevor St. John) European fight, Ashley admitted that things got intense, meaning Tucker erupted into a terrifying rage. This shook Mamie to her core and made her rethink her own alliance with Mr. McCall.
Elsewhere, Nate (Sean Dominic) met with Devon (Bryton James) and Lily (Christel Khalil) to inform them that Aunt Mamie had been harassing him to rejoin Chancellor-Winters — and that he saw her receive a mysterious text from Tucker. While Lily was shocked by the news, Devon was furious because Tucker flat-out lied to him and said he had zero involvement with his company. Lily was sure that their business was under attack.
When Devon arrived at Tucker’s suite, he wanted to discuss Nate’s new discovery with his father. When Devon asked what Tucker’s connection was to Mamie, he admitted to sending her a text. However, he lied once again and said they were meeting about a way to fix his and Devon’s relationship. Devon assured Tucker that he didn’t believe a word he said.
After he left, Devon ran into Mamie in the GCAC bar. He warned his aunt to never trust Tucker because all he knew how to do was lie. Tucker’s day went from bad to worse when Mamie arrived to end their alliance. She could handle Jill (Jess Walton) without his help.
Kyle Gets In Deeper With Tucker
Tucker refused to believe that Kyle (Michael Mealor) was really ready and willing to betray his family just to get the Jabot CEO position. It turned out this wasn’t even Tucker’s idea. It was all Audra (Zuleyka Silver). Tucker worried that it was all a trick and Kyle was going to run to Jack (Peter Bergman) and tell him everything.
When Tucker wanted to end the deal before it began, Kyle wondered why he would stay loyal to Jack when Jack was never loyal to him. Tucker sensibly pointed out it was because Jack was Kyle’s father. Audra thought Kyle was being sincere and wanted Tucker to work with Kyle, so Tucker wanted a pitch.
That’s exactly what Kyle gave him. He was greedy and wanted what he thought was coming to him. He was willing to do whatever he had to in order to get what he thought was rightfully his. Kyle told Tucker that all he had to do was test him to see if he could be trusted.
Jack And Billy Spar
Jack and Billy (Jason Thompson) argued over the Tucker situation while at Crimson Lights. Billy liked Ashley’s idea of baiting Tucker while Jack was still firmly against it. The subject soon turned to Kyle. Billy wasn’t surprised to hear that Kyle wanted his uncle fired so he could walk right back into his CEO job.
Billy suggested letting Kyle pay his dues for a change and not just walk into another high position with no real experience. Jack found Billy’s words to be ironic considering he didn’t think his brother ever paid his dues. Billy was offended that Jack would actually compare him to Kyle and vowed not to let his CEO title go.
