The Young and the Restless recap for January 15-19, 2024, details an eventful week in Genoa City that saw a celebration, Nikki dealing with new problems, and others dealing with old problems.
Sharon’s Big Reveal
Sharon’s (Sharon Case) launch party for her new company went better than she ever expected. The guests were happy and Adam (Mark Grossman) and Sally (Courtney Hope) even seemed to make their debut as an official couple again. However, when Sharon revealed the name of her company, Nick (Joshua Morrow) was stunned.
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) already knew what her mother had planned and they both enjoyed seeing the look on Nick’s face when Sharon announced that the company would be called Cassidy First Technologies after their daughter and Mariah’s twin, Cassie.
Sharon also announced partnerships with all the other companies in town, including Chancellor-Winters and Newman Media.
Nikki’s Drinking Drama
A sober Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) discussed her drinking with Lauren (Tracy E. Bregman), but both were shocked to see her sponsor Seth (Brian Gaskill) was not acting like himself. Nikki deduced that he had fallen off the wagon and later told Seth he couldn’t be her sponsor anymore.
Meanwhile, Lauren told Jack (Peter Bergman) all about Nikki’s drinking problems and he volunteered to be the sponsor she needed. First, he had to confess to Diane (Susan Walters) that he was once an addict before approaching Nikki and vowing to be her moral support.
The rest of Nikki’s family had a relatively calm week. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) spent some time bonding with Claire (Hayley Erin) while Victor (Eric Braeden) interrogated Cole (J. Eddie Peck) about what he’s been up to in his life and what his future plans are.
All About Tucker
Now that Tucker (Trevor St. John) found himself all alone, he enjoyed his favorite pastime – pushing people’s buttons. That’s exactly what he did when he ran into Kyle (Michael Mealor) and taunted him over his weakness with his family. After that, Kyle told Diane he wasn’t sure if he wanted to work for Jabot anymore.
Tucker was a bit rattled himself when Ashley (Eileen Davidson) confronted him over what happened in Paris and wanted to get both of their stories straight once and for all.
Phyllis’ Bold Move
While Daniel (Michael Graziadei) was stunned when Heather (Vail Bloom) told him she wanted him back, Danny (Michael Damian) should not have been stunned when Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) played one hell of a stunt. She got dressed up in her underwear and a robe, met him in the jazz lounge, asked him to play piano for her, and put the event on social media for Christine (Lauralee Bell) to see.
Chris headed straight to the jazz lounge to find Phyllis planting a kiss on Danny and Danny responding. Christine later confronted a flustered Danny over the whole situation because she was done fighting with Phyllis.
