Today’s The Young and the Restless recap for October 20, 2023, details everything going wrong for Tucker, Jill coming up short, and Victor’s dirty tricks.
Tucker Doesn’t Get His Wish
Tucker (Trevor St. John) paid a visit to Mamie (Veronica Redd) in her hotel room where she told him there wasn’t anything new to discuss. However, he saw her talking to Nate (Sean Dominic) the night before and wondered what it was all about. Mamie chalked it up as a personal family matter since Nate is her nephew, after all.
She promised him they were still on the same page about bringing family members together for business. Tucker just didn’t realize Nate was part of her goals. He still didn’t like Nate for betraying Devon (Bryton James) last year. He may have told Mamie that he regretted his actions, but Tucker didn’t buy it.
Later, Tucker summoned Devon for a chat and Devon tried to figure out exactly what went wrong with Ashley (Eileen Davidson) on their honeymoon. Tucker refused to tell him but he did take Devon’s advice to text Ashley and try to make amends. When that didn’t work and Ashley refused to reunite, Tucker lost it and began trashing his GCAC room.
No Luck For Jill
Jill (Jess Walton) informed Lily (Christel Khalil) and Devon that she found nothing strange about Mamie’s Chancellor-Winters purchase, but she was still sure that Mamie was up to something and asked Lily and Devon to stay on the alert.
Meanwhile, Lily met up with Mamie and told her that Jill was completely freaked out about Mamie owning a part of her company. Mamie found that amusing and refused to pay Jill any mind. She urged Lily to give Nate another chance at Chancellor-Winters but Lily wasn’t so sure. Nate really hurt herself and Devon and she didn’t think she could ever trust him again.
As for Jill, she was still digging for as much information as possible and discussed the whole situation with Victor (Eric Braeden). He was sure Mamie was on the up and up, which only served to frustrate Jill.
Victor Infuriates Nikki
Victor dropped the dementia act when he asked Nate for an update on Adam (Mark Grossman). Nate had a glowing report but was surprised when he saw that Victor seemed disappointed with the update. That didn’t stop Nate from singing Adam’s praises some more.
Sure, Adam didn’t like being Nate’s assistant, but he was diligent about the work and trying to do the best job possible. Nate also informed Victor that his family was concerned about his health. However, Nate thought Victor was just fine.
Later, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) ran into Nate and learned the former doctor thought Victor didn’t have any health issues. She also confronted Victor about what he was doing and told her husband it was cruel to make his children believe there was something wrong with him just to find out if Adam is betraying him.
